How are you likin those 63s? Any issues so far?

 

I don’t know when Archive hangers came out, but I’d never heard of them when I did the 63 swap. If they were available and I’d known about them, I probably would’ve gone that route. It’s just less chopping and welding.
But don’t get me wrong, I love the 63s and haven’t had any issues. Not even just for the flex. They ride sooo good.

The only issue I’m having now is my tire beads keep coming unseated after wheeling. I only aired down to 20 psi this weekend, and for the fourth time now, I have a leak. I wasn’t ready to drop that kind of cash, but it’s time for beadlocks I guess.

 

Glad they are working well for you! How wide are your wheels? I haven’t had any issues like that but my wheels are 9” wide so they are ideal for the 12.5” tire

 

They’re 8”. Tires are 295/70/17

Huh I wouldn’t think you would have issues like that. Have you checked for small rocks in the bead of your tire?

 

That’s been the issue every time. They break it down, clean it, then mount it back and it’s fine.
Then next time I air down, I get more sand/dirt in there again.
It happened a couple of times, then it was fine for a few trips, but it happened again the last two times I wheeled.

I’m just going to get beadlocks. I need a wheel with the right backspace anyway.
Need 3.5” BS to clear my rear shocks and it would be nice to be able to drop down to 10 psi.
My current wheels have 4.5” BS and I’ll running 1” spacers to clear the shocks.

 

@duffy1298 I scratched one of my rear bumper caps and replaced it with this one from eBay. I have a white truck and the paint is a perfect match. My only issue was where the sensor plugs into the bumper cap, the sensor hole had to slightly modified in order to lock the sensor in place (I had to sand the inside of the bumper cap slightly ... also put a small amount of super glue to hold it in place better). I give the bumper cap a 9 out of 10 ... you can't tell the difference from OEM on my truck.

I mean if you can afford them go for it, as an off-road rig I see no downsides to beadlocks!

 

I’ve owned her for 2 months, and she has a topper, cheapo rims, a HID light kit, Lexus fog light upgrade, and a hitch bike rack

What size are your tires? I like the poke? Offset? Spacers? Also what kinda fogs?
