@2ayne, how are you holding up? Seems like it has been a couple weeks of sealant curing for you.

Has anyone measured how high the GFC sits on their truck? I go into a parking structure almost every day, and want to see if I would clear.

I am on fox pro suspension for now and 265/75/16 wheels. Just looking for some type of reference for now.

    Thanks!

Does anyone know what this comes out to when measured from the top of the cab?

I'm sure someone else will have the exact number, but...

2nd gen Bilstein TRD PRO suspension, AAL with overload in the back, 265/75r16 tires, and I can no longer fit into garages with 7' of clearance. I'll hit the bar.

My truck is lighter than a lot of others though. No steel bumpers, drawer systems in the bed, etc. Aluminum skids and steel sliders are all I've added.

GFC claims 7.5” above the cab is a good estimate.

Toyota claims my stock TRD OR is 70.6” tall.

My garage clearance is 7’ (84”), so unless I’m missing something, I should be good by about 5”?

@pilosopo your AAL with overload added how much lift?

Like 2 and bit inches at the axle. The problem is my truck is raked, a bit high in the back.

It may have only been 2 inches at the axle but it's more at the cross bar at the top of the GFC.

And honestly, I didn't measure the 7' bar at the parking garages I've been to, so they have actually been a bit lower after years of abuse, but I've yet to go by one I could make it under.

Gotcha. Is it close for you? Because I’m going to remain on stock leafs/shocks until I can move out of the parking garage. 7’ is worrying me, even though the numbers check out.

I'll measure it at my lunch break and get an exact number. It wouldn't surprise me if the garages I've been to are mislabeled.

My previous Jeep Rubicon with a 3.5" lift, 35's, and Gobi Rack was actually a bit lower than this set up. That could just squeak into my parent's standard garage when I'd work on it. The Tacoma just hits the rubber on the bottom of the door, so I know she's surprisingly tall.

Two weeks today to be exact but who’s counting? Haha.
Was planning to take off next week for two weeks to go get but it seems I’m going to have to push those plans back.
I sent an email yesterday and Torrey said that it should be completed this week after inspection. At that time I’ll be contacted by Stephan to arrange my pickup/install date.
I was also told that you can’t have an install date set within the first 5 business days after your camper is marked complete. They install on Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Friday’s and sometimes Saturday’s if needed.
Couldn’t get an answer on how long they’re booked out for installs or if they even are.
If they mark it complete and try to give me an install date a long time from now I’ll have them leave it in the parking lot and just go to a bar in Bozeman and hire a few good boys to help me lift it on then the dog and I will be the road to camp, haha.

I'm in the same boat - been in "sealant curing" for 2 weeks. I was hoping to pickup before 6/8.

No windows here but I'm definitely keen to see what you come up with for bug screens. Mosquitoes are back with a vengeance .

Yeah I was hoping for next week but I don’t see that happening now. Bummer.

    Got that measurement.

As inexact as using a tape measure could be, not sure how level the ground is, etc. But also a good representation of how variable it is under those parking garage beams...

The highest point of my camper, at the rear since my truck is raked, measured between 6' 11 7/8" and a bit over 7'.

I could lose .5" right away by getting rid of the overload leaf, which actually makes sense because I now have sumo springs.

Anyway, it's right around 7' so given the variability of all things it doesn't surprise me I haven't cleared a 7' garage.

Seems like everything got pushed to the side with expo and personal time off after that. The only update I got as of now is that they are trying to make delivery plans.
