Can someone accurately measure the height of a TRD Off Road?

I need to know the height of a 100% stock TRD Off Road. Stock tires, stock leaf springs, stock shocks, etc.

Toyota Corporate says 70.6” but I don’t know where they are measuring from.

I am looking for the measurement from the ground to the highest point on the roof of the cab (not including the antenna). I can’t accurately get a measure, someone will likely need a square rule or something similar to get a square measurement of the height.

I’m looking for a very accurate height measurement... thanks in advance.

 

Measurements will vary a bit between each Taco. Your best bet, if you are looking for something accurate, is to measure your own. Just use a step stool, measuring tape, and a level as a sight. If the level is level, your sighted measurement will be good to go.

I will try as soon as I can. Just wondering what other TRD OR’s are sitting at. Going to have to make some decisions regarding garage clearance.

As @tonered says, each will slightly vary. Even air pressure in the tires, crooked surface it's sitting on, etc.

If you are thinking of the parking garage/door opening, round up. Call it 72 and you should be fine. As long as the opening is 72 or more.

 

Sitting Flat and Level 2019 TRD OR DCLB 4X4 is 70.5 inches tall to the roof line back of the cab. Ad 3 inches for the shark fin antennae.

 

This is 6” taller than Toyota Corporate states. Are you sure about this?

Phew, had me worried for a second.

My issue is this:

I am installing a GFC which adds 7.5” to the highest part of the roof (not including shark fin) OR 29” from the top of the bedside caps.

My garage clearance is 7’ (84”).

It sounds like I should be good. 72” (conservative measurement) plus 7.5” is only 79-80”. I should clear by about 4”. But if I don’t, I’ll be very very screwed.

 

Wouldn't it be easier to just park your truck under the garage door right now and measure the gap?

 

I had the same worry when I brought my TRD OR home. It clears my garage door at its lowest point just fine but my door is a little lower than normal.
Remember to measure the lowest spot in your garage (typically the door near the opening) because the frame will be taller than the door in most standard setups.

 

It’s a garage I haven’t moved into yet, in another state. The best I can do is measure my truck when I get a chance.

It’s an apartment complex parking garage. The marked clearance says 7’. So hopefully my 5-6” of extra clearance should be good enough.

 

Just a note there that for whatever reason, most typical garage doors are set to not open fully, or simply can't because of the spring / cable setup. In both of our houses, I dialed in some more opening once I installed the garage door openers. In my case, I wanted the door frame to be the lowest point and the door completely out of the way.

 

Has anyone here factored in vehicle color for calculations?

lol I remember stressin out about these measurements when planning my lift. I measured off a beam that was 78" tall, there was 4.5" to the top of my shark fin. So 73.5" total height including the shark fin. Idk the height of the shark fin off hand, so gotta go and measure that for yourself. Hope this helps
