    Yes yes yes

My sliders have paid for themselves a dozen times over.

They have the scares of love to prove it.

I know nothing of TuRD gen though

    :sorry:

I had 650 lb coils before and it wasn't safe. Steady turns like highway onramps were OK, but transients like the double lane-change caused too much body roll.

I don't know of any local fabricators who sell sliders. I ordered RCI sliders for my Turd Gen. They have 15% off today and tomorrow. They have a DOM outer tube and a kick-out standard. There are a few guys here in the GTA who have them. CT Motorsports will order them and bring them in for you. I don't know if @pete37 can get them. I had them shipped to family in the US. I'll pick them up in a few weeks.

I'll look into these RCI ones and see what they're all about, the kick out is definitely a nice have.
"Direct bolt on addition to existing mounting locations, no drilling required"
:spending:Mall crawler status here i come.

and the 15% off basically pays for the shipping, got a PO box on the other side.

Be prepared for normal people to complain about how they make it awkward to get into the truck :annoyed:

I would go with mobtown, they are the only ones that have support for kick. My RCI do flex to a point that I can’t open suicide doors without touching them, when I am on rocks at the rear, will be adding support there later.

If my sliders flexed at all they would hit the rocker panel seem. There is almost no room between them, and the seem has not been touched anywhere on either side.

I have jacket my truck on JUST the kickout and it not look to be? Maybe I should do it again and take a closer look. o_O

Why and where do the RCI flex? :alien:

Yes I see your image, but I am unsure of where exactly the flex is taking place?

    *edit*
I probably just need to jack my truck again on the kickout and observe the giggety.

can't be any more annoying than regular running boards could they? or do they protrude out awkwardly? had running boards on an 09 pilot (family car) and it never bothered me.

I'll take a look into those ones as well, and thanks for the advice about the support on the kick.
any opinion in getting the fill plate?
And any opinion on OCF (off Camber Fabrications)?

Most of the info i heard from are people off of youtube talking about what to get first or get that and what not. but in regards of actual needs, i feel sliders are more important than a fancy bumper (the SSO slimline is on my wishlist to get eventually) as i'll have a little more confidence if i do join you guys on the run (bumper is more easily repaired than rockers). I'm not too anal about scratches, already have a few from the ski resort i checked out last year.
Truth is the Taco is my first car (that i a was the typical guy looking at a new Subaru WRX/STI before switching to a Tacoma) and no one in my family has done anything besides dirt roads, so i'm trying to get as much info as i can to make the best informed decision in regards of modifications.

here, when you are on trails and need to access something at the back the doors will touch sliders. Same story on the other side. it’s the 2nd picture where bare metal now.

Sliders hug the cab pinch weld pretty closely, so they are higher than running boards and narrower. That said the 4 girls who rode with me had no issues getting in or out wearing heels :notsure:
With the terrain we see (Ardbeg, etc.) I would say skid plates are #1 priority, then sliders, then bumpers.

They dont bother me at all but people complain because they stick out like a running board but they’re up higher.
Just gotta watch clean pants because you gotta step an extra 2” further if you dont step on them.

Ah that's fair enough, so it won't be bothersome for myself all too much then - but lucky you gettin 5 people inside a taco!

Skid Plates was one of the few things that are next on my list (it's not a very well organized list, it's a bunch of ideas in random order :cookiemonster: ) as well but it's a subject i have zero idea about. With that said, the #rd gen has plates on its underbelly (engine and transition are steel, looks like polymer for the gas tank?) and i can deduce that it's not enough? since you guys are bringing it up and recommending it to be one of the first things to do.
