This and that is really all that needs to be said. Anything else is pure speculation.

    But I’ll speculate.......

Perfect storm. Truck at a steep angle, dipshit driver.

Instead of chalking it up as life lesson he needs to justify is poor decision and try and blame the truck or Toyota.

And we have all been there. Most of us tucked our tails between our legs and figured it out, learned a valuable lesson and moved on.

I think this is probably the most important piece in the whole rant: Now I've been to Hollister more times than I can count, and those that know Hollister know how punishing it can be on a vehicle in the hands of a novice driver.

Maybe he's not the hard-core, experienced off-roader he thinks he is?
I'm curious about all the info that's NOT included. Was he towing that airstream, while weighed-down with "everything he'd need for the trip", with the towing-package, or without? What other mods, if any, did he do on that truck?
How much extra weight was the truck carrying when he forded the stream? Did he do ANY sort of PMCS on the truck (like, I don't know, check the fluids?), or did he just assume all that was already done for him? Pretty safe assumption off-the-lot, but wouldn't you want to check that stuff AFTER you've loaded up all the extras (and done any other unmentioned modifications), before and after you hit the offload park, before you depart for your epic overloading adventure, etc?

I'm not a fanboy who thinks Tacomas are perfect, but I think this guy is full of shit, quite frankly. I don't think he's telling us the whole story. I think he was excited about this trip, did something stupid to screw up his vehicle, and now he's trying to fling blame at The Evil Corporation.

Thats a load of bull. It would not have a crawl crontrol system. Also, this video wouldn't exist: https://youtu.be/19BNRvuNLWE

It was built for off roading. Not rock crawling, sure, but it is definitely meant for off roading. Atleast the TRD OFF ROAD is.

Would not surprise me in the least if this is casting a net to gather a tribe of idiots who don’t like their Tacoma’s so this bozo can file a class action lawsuit.
Quit your job, buy truck. Immediately have problems with the truck that relate to other issues you’ve seen online, start a freaking website with an email where people can reach out to you.
Yep, this guys inbox is flooded with assholes and attorneys willing to sue.
Class action lawsuit is only a legal pyramid scheme 9 times out of 10. This guy is hoping to make bank off of Toyota. I smell a scheme.

I’m going to say expert off-roading skills will be low hauling an Airstream.

This may be the case, but I was confused how someone who has a baby, quits their job, buys a 40k+ truck, spends 4k out of pocket for repairs, etc. also has enough capital to create a website entirely devoted to his Tacoma trouble.
