Received my @Mobtown Offroad tailgate cap today. Bday gift from the better half. The tailgate skin has held up like a champ for a couple years, the stock cap on the other hand had seen better days. 20190529_141421.jpg 20190529_142334.jpg

    Too few to list.
People don't realize how heavy OEM rims can be. I think 28-29lbs for the 4Runner Trail wheels then add 55+ lbs AT tires. Though Toyota was good at keeping the SEMA wheels at around 24 lbs.

Got my windows tinted today, advertised to reject 65% of heat. We’ll see how it does in the Texas summers.

Thanks, went to test drive a 3rd gen OR today, was super close to trading it in right then and there. Couldn’t stand the transmission and lack of power. Safe to say I’ll be keeping the truck a little longer. A 4Runner is super tempting too

Wouldn't trade mine for a 3rd gen. I'd buy a 3rd gen TRD Sport then have 2 different Tacos.

MT is the only way to go on a 3rd Gen otherwise you'll regret it. I felt like I needed to shift between 3K-4K to get it to move and that's with stock tires.

Had the alignment done at work today. It's better but the steering wheel isn't straight.
Picked up some screws from Toyota for the mud flaps, removed my mud flaps and tossed the screws. Little did I know that I needed them to install the Bushwacker flares.

What diameter and length, did you go with. Do you have a specific water capacity you worked toward?

With my truck having a salvage title I’ll probably end up keeping it and buying a new truck. Parents are helping me get a new car as a graduation present if I can put 10k down

Heck, I could’ve done that while you were workin’ and saved you the time! Just leave keys on the front left wheel.

I'd say you hold it right there. You're barely 18, and about to spend $10,000 on a vehicle. Use that money to the help you through college or something. Just my $.02

I wouldn't want to get a new car at my age.

Channel locks work really well too if you have the big ones. Harbor Freight/Northern Tool have them for less then $20 in the appropriate size.

Finally said screw it and replace my antenna base that’s been banging around in the fender since I bought the truck 4AF00365-333F-4D4B-98AF-7B67EA44C10A.jpg

Had to drill the top nut off, but I managed to do it with out actually removing the flare or the wheel well liner
