Same here, but usually only if the driveway is longer than standard.

Because it's cheaper than concrete up front but in the long run concrete rules.

My wife just ordered me some neoprene CoverKing seat covers. I'll let you know if I get swamp ass from them.

I concur on the Cooper's. I probably won't buy another brand in the future.

Are you wanting a more aggressive looking tire?
I would go KO2s then Duratracs

Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a good choice. I would stay away from the Pros or other mud terrain if you do 99% road.

    Good:
The price point, Arizona truck, clean interior, low milage, 4wd, & ko2s make it a hell of a buy.

    Bad:
Previous salvage. Salvage can mean so many different things. I would call the guy and ask him what type of damage was sustained to cause the truck to get branded salvage. It is was a wreck, then what you see is what you get. Stay away from floods at ALL cost.

For sale by owner. You would need to secure your own financing but you avoid a lot of the typical dealer shenanigans like turning off cel etcs

Looks clean, low miles but nothing gives away if it is a rust bucket underneath all that pretty

Yeah, go to the rangers station to buy it. There's a guarded gate to enter the national park, and right to the right of it is the ranger station. What you need is called the OSV permit. It's $90 but it's good for an entire year. The sticker gets displayed lower drivers side corner. You'll also need to pay to enter the national park itself unless you have a pass already

edit: They only allow 145 trucks on the beach at once. There's arms to enter and exit and a counter. So once it fills up, you can't get on until someone leaves. I recommend getting there early and not airing down until you're actually on the beach itself. Our first day there the counter was at 138 and people were in line airing down. We were already aired down (camping nearby) and blasted past them onto the beach. Bet they were pissed.

That's awesome! I won't be getting into camp until 10 - 11pm, I'm on the oceanside loop 1. Will we be able to get in to the campground that late?

So what's confusing is there's the assateague state park right next to the assateague national park. I was camping in the state park side, and then drove over onto the national side to drive on the beach.

You're camping on the national side so it looks like you'll need to read this. I recommend calling the ranger station to get their hours so you can get your OSV permit bright and early.

haha I read over that yesterday! I called the ranger station and no one mentioned anything about a gate so I think I'll be good. Did you pick up firewood nearby?

Sorry, "guarded gate" may have been misleading. More like a checkpoint that a ranger hangs out in during the day. There's no actual physical gate that'll prevent you from entering the park.

As you're driving in there is firewood EVERYWHERE. One I saw was just an honor box and piles of firewood all around it. So just bring some cash and you'll be set.

awesome! I bought a 1/2 cord of dried and split firewood, but It's only for use at our cabin and camping in PA lol I'm going to buy like 6 citronella candles to try and battle the biting bugs.
