What is a “credit card”?

 

A headache

 

I’ve thought about getting one buying gas or making tuition payments, paying them off ASAP of course.

 

Thats how i started with mine. Would only buy gas then pay it off at the end of the month

 

You have to have em to build credit though... no credit means good luck getting loans..

I use 3 for everything... pay them all off every month... never have owed a cent in interest. And the rewards are nice... I guess

 

That’s the best way to do it. Tbh

 

It works, my credit score is now pretty good and the limit on my card is super high. Which makes it tempting to buy big things but ik better then that lmao

 

I have two of them I bought some guns and then put them away. And I always pay $25 over the minimum. They just want to see payment history.

 

my first credit card was a Musicland/Sam Goody card, when that was the only way to get new tunes that were not taped off the airwaves

 

Lmao yeah after I pay mine off I might go buy more guns.

Visa card companies have helped me more than once when somebody tried to rip me off. Once when a satellite installer tried to take me for over $600 extra, Visa basically told him refund it or lose ability to process Visa transactions. Immediate refund. I had tried Better Business Bureau, certified letters, and angry phone calls. No go.

Also, they contacted me when some bogus Amazon charges were made with my card number. They saw it immediately, investigated, and called me to recommend freezing the card.

There are also circumstances where they increase warranty periods for major purchases.

I have nothing bad to say about my Visa cards. You do need to commit to paying them every month, or they are quicksand, but I am good with that.
