Did I see $1500? Looks like you welded new bedsides and confirmed the 5VZ isn't knocking on deaths doorstep. Like didn't you send an oil sample somewhere? Just have to see how hard registering it would be here and I'm down as a backup plan.

 

Yeah, $1,500 as-is where-is. The bed could use some work (or a new one entirely) but it’s a good truck. Oil was tested and confirmed no coolant or traces of any metals. Engine runs smooth.

 

I might just sell all of this shit and find a new hobby

 

PS the 5 lug frame is more SAS friendly iirc

 

Oh yes it is... was one thing I was considering with it.

 

I put in a 555 Moog UBJ and it fits shitty. It was a bitch to press in even with lots of anti seize and the fucking snap ring doesn't fully seat. Fucking trash

 

I’ve learned with Toyota’s it’s best to go oem on ball joints.

 

Just get some SPCs or JBAs

 

Ah I saw something about you doing an insane road trip to Texas. That would be quite the drive to California when I could try and find something local.

Yeah I kind of wish I had gone with JBAs instead for that reason, although I've never had any issues with my SPC bushings making any noise in 2+ years...but some people say they do.

Also the red JBAs would've looked sweet on my truck

 

At this point I am thinking about it just so I can have one less thing to worry about breaking with 35s...

 

id be more worried about the lower balljoint than the upper if your running 35s

 

I replaced those with some quality moogs that get greased every couple hundred miles

 

You’d be hard pressed to find a 5-Lug v6 for $1,500. They’re rare.
