What is the logic behind covering up your plates in photos? Do people really think someone will track them down and get them?
Plates on your vehicle can be seen everyday by anyone on the street.
Why is it such a bad thing to be seen on the internet?
Should I be concerned about the members here on the forum of stalking?
The average person cannot get any information tied to your plates very easily.
DMV does not release that information, and Police won't run plates for someone. (So in order to get any information you actually need to know someone either in the DMV or Police dept. that would risk their job to release that information.
(Or is there an easier way to use the Lic. plates to track someone down?)
I might be starting a career as a stalker and this might be good to know? :D
So what is the big concern with covering up your plates in pictures?
Just curious as to why people are worried? Should I be worried?:fingerscrossed:
Last thing I need is more crazy bitches stalking me! LMAO!!

It's just precautionary. There are crazy people out there and they're also not all registered well known members here. While it's highly unlikely anyone is going to go through the trouble to track you down, it doesn't hurt to protect yourself.

People shouldn't be worried about it at all. Hell I pay more money to get a license plate to show it off. That said, it's easier than you'd think to get info off of plates with the internet (at least in some states, VA for example). Check out spokeo.com and prepare to shit yourself with the information readily available.

My favorite is people who blur their license plates but share their ham callsigns, which are publicly accessible and tied to full identity.

Everyone is entitled to privacy by any means. I don't understand why it bothers people.

The "getting eaten" part kinda sucked. The rest wasn't much of a big deal for me. Ya know...cuz I was dead.

Not sure why people are so anal about displaying their lic plates online !! :notsure: . You get hundreds of people daily looking at lic plates in parking lots or driving around on the streets or highway's

What's next cars driving around with towels over the plates or removed
