I gutted mine too, for my 100lb dog to have more room. Took off the flux capacitor too.

So cleaning the truck is pretty important, I could not see the contact point my rocker pinch weld had made on my slider

After you sparked my interest I took a closer look.

When this contact happened I am sure it is what flexed the slider into the pinch weld, but now I know it can happen.

    :bored:

So yes I would say the Mobtown sliders with that badass kickout support would be way more sturdy. Mine will be modified in the future it looks like. :cookiemonster:

Do you have gussets on top of the tubes coming out from the frame?

I am not a fabricator, but yes I do believe they have the gussets.

From AP's web page: "Pinch flange notching may be required due to slight variations between vehicles" I think they intended the sliders to hug very close to the cab.

    Interesting
Ive never even checked to see how much mine flexes under weight
But it looks like you have like a 1/4” of clearance so it wouldnt take much to get it to flex that amount

Yea I was thinking I would not have to do the pinch weld diddle, but looks like I may have to.

I saw that in the install instructions but was like :burp:
