Takes all the weight of the truck off the axles and if I brake an axle I can pull the drive shaft, unlock both hubs and drive home on the front axles.
Without having to pull the diff and remove the ring gear.

Anybody local to HSV have a 10x10 canopy/tent they wanna get rid of or let a brother borrow? We are going to the beach in 2 weeks and need a shaded place for the baby to lay down and really don't wanna buy one to use once.

    Jeff,
Question for you. Will the rear springs on my long-bed Gen 2 fit a short bed Gen 3. Figure you would know right off the bat.

Not sure if a 2nd gen and 3rd gen are the same but on a 1st gen the short bed and long bed are the same.

Here is a thread I just found
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-suspension-on-2nd-gen.487273/

According to them yes they will but I don't know for sure

Also, I just found this canopy so this may just happen and be done with it. The ones I was finding earlier were $75+ and thats just a waste of more money to use 1 time. However, my wife said that we are expected to get a baby pool:frusty: this weekend at my daughters 1st bday:eek: so we will "get multiple uses out of it this summer". Thank you for your offer Matt, much appreciated broham!

keep in mind @JBTacoma is talking about 1st gen, will not work in your rear axle.

Also my advice is wait for the free compressor deal and message vendors and barter.
I did with ebay because messaging random people and bartering on TW get's you a bad rep.

You can find 2nd and 3rd gen lockers on Ebay just have to look every day and you will find one.

    http://car-part.com/

    diff.jpg

Not close by but keep looking you can find them
People pull them out of 2nd and 3rd gens because they think they have to have what their buddy has, so they buy ARBs

Yea i know that he has a first gen and it wont fit my gen. I know the free ones are usually just the ones you can only use with lockers. I want one that i can air up with and use with lockers. So im not sure if they do a free compressor like that?

I just saw your post and was gonna say I have one for you but I do recommend getting one if you’re getting a baby pool.

Let me know though because I can get you mine pretty easily.
