Yup, it’s only like a half inch taller. Threads on the exact same. Been using them for years now. Also gives you a little more area to grab when installing/pullin off

I may switch back to the D1 filter since they’re cheap and the D3 is starting to get a little pricey (relatively speaking)

No, not wearing your seatbelt and crashing was the most dangerous threat to your life.

Based on your story, you put yourself in danger by trying to pass someone on an on ramp. Speeding and not wearing your seatbelt just added to it.

Amazon is hardly a definitive source for parts fit.

Cool! Any reason you built a console instead of just getting a used one?

This right here. Amazon told me a Spicer Carrier bearing wouldnt fit my truck. Drivetrain America did, so I bought one. Whadya know, it fit like a glove. Even said Toyota and made in Japan right on the bearing.

I think they rely on the product supplier to give them detailed specs of what vehicles the product is for, if the supplier doesn't then it'll say it doesn't fit or won't mention it one way or the other.

Even if it does say something "fits" I always confirm it via another source, with how enormous Amazon is I just don't trust them to be reliable for that kind of detailed info on specific vehicles.

There hard to find honestly. This is just temporary because I can’t stand not having something to rest my arm on, especially a stick. I found a few Tacoma’s same year that are parting out so I’m going to try that next

Finished my lift up yesterday. She’s been lifted less than 24h and I’ve already blown a boot. I’m sure the 883s without extras on the front end are the culprit.

Got her aligned though, rubbing all over the place. Going to have to get some spacers.

Mine did the exact same thing. I just got re-man CVS for Toyota and kept my OEM originals for spares. I still haven’t added my weight and it’s settled a little.

Edit: if you don’t buy new cvs you can re boot and they will be fine. The clamp is your problem but those boots say it’s almost one for new.

I got mine from a local dealer here in TN. You can run on those for a little while because I did and they where fine just had grease everywhere lol. I got to mine before they went bad so I can re build them. To answer your question, yes those 883’s are the problem. I didn’t do a diff drop either. They will settle over time and be fine with no armor or anything on after about 3-6 months roughly. My angles aren’t bad at all but when I lightly wheel the fins will touch up it’ll be alright lol

Edit: but I haven’t put but 7k miles in two years on mine so they settled pretty good now. Weight will help a ton tho

Wheel spacers will only help with frame rub but make fender rub worse.

Is your boot actually torn or did it just slide up?

Another reason I like my 10.5 33's. I needed spacers to clear the caliper though.

Maybe it just slipped up?ill clean it off and check. I’m only rubbing on the frame I think
