IDK what's worse missing out on the first set or having a pair from round one in your hands only to have to give them to another member....

Today was a sad day for one, but a happy day for another. :rain:

Damn. Sorry to hear but someone else’s Day was made. Like getting your birthday cake and dropping on the floor for the dogs to enjoy. (Not saying whoever got them is a dog)

You want to get the boot unlodged from both the door and cab.

Cut the tape on the cab side so you can open it wider. You can even cut a tiny slit in the opening if you need to squeeze it a tad bit wider.

I then put some tape on the connector so the edges don’t get caught on the ribs as easily.

After that its just patience. I used my finger to push the back of the connector into the opening of the boot from the cab side. You can use your other hand to push the connector through from the outside if you see it getting stuck on any of the ribs.

Once I got it halfway, I rolled the door side of the boot back to expose the connector. I then grabbed the connector (needle nose pliers may help) and pulled it the rest of the way through the boot.

After that, pull some slack and then you can reinsert the boot into the door and cab.

It takes some massaging and patience.

Thanks. I got the boot out on both ends, just having a heck of a time feeding the harness through. Good thing I have plenty of daylight left. Ha

It’s a pain in the butt for sure but isn’t impossible I swear! Just don’t give up haha. Getting it partway and pulling it from the door side with the boot rolled back on itself was the best trick I discovered.

In struggling on removing the first big electrical plug behind the drivers side door step 1-I.. :-/ I feel like I am gonna break and you can’t see jack. Instructions say press down and it releases a collar, press down on what part of what on that large white plug?

No, you can remove that plug with the switch panel still on the door. It's just easier to remove the connectors with the switch panel removed so you can see what you're doing. I unplugged them from the back side of the door which is what's in the PDF.

I was posting the videos because it shows you how to disengage the connector to remove it (regardless of doing it on the back side of the door or with the switch panel removed).

Well I got all my goods, ready to go. I set up both the Fobs. What’s the general consensus for install? Just trying to figure out how many hours to tell my wife I need set aside for this weekend lol.

Probably a good idea lol. My daughter doesn’t take naps anymore but my sons does during the weekends. I usually get about 2 hours of me time on both sat and sun. I may split it if need be. Let’s hope there aren’t any plans this weekend. I’m notorious for forgetting what my wife tells me(over and over) lol.

I just removed the passenger side door panel, but unlike the driver side I FIRST removed the power button panel and disconnected the two electrical cables and it was SOOOO much easier that way. Also, passenger side did not have that one big electrical power cable that I struggled with, just two smaller ones you push the release down and pull up and out.
