Always a good time with that stuff. One year in the desert, we made one 40lb thing and left quite a hole.

yes, i ordered 8 of the same lights! they work great on a bench test and appear to be stout enough. thanks for your input.

what i want to do is get a 'L' bracket to attach 4 lights to the inside the bar of my slider that runs parallel to the frame rail. i considered installing the lights directly to the sliders but i like the idea of using a bracket so the lights are serviceable. if i need to swap one out i can simply remove the light from the bracket instead of relying on self-tapping screws directly to the frame/slider. the Rago brackets are straight-up perfect but for the high price tag. i have not been able to find any other good solutions on the interwebs so i'll likely go gangsta fabricator.

That’s exactly what I did. I got some black T brackets from hardware store. Bent them with my hands and self tapped them into my sliders. Worked GREAT but drilling into my sliders was hard work.

The black T brackets I bought were like $3/ea or something. Total $12

i may go this route. some of that extreme hook and loop that i used to attach the front license plate to the bumper would work.

see, now this is why i come here. i was looking at 'L' brackets when i need to be looking for 'T'. no jibba-jabba.

**RANT** I am so sick of craigslist. Selling some Ring cameras and it's ridiculous how stupid and cheap people are. I have them for $140 off the best possible price out there and still get offers $140 off my asking price. Also I keep getting "I'm from San Jose, can you deliver?" or "Santa Cruz is far, can you lower the price because I have to drive over the hill?". Bitch, no! Third time someone has set up a pick up and ghost me the day of. Sorry for the rant, just sick of dealing with idiots.

    TL;DR - Craigslist sucks
