before you get caught up in following the crowd and all that, figure exactly what you want in the future, where you want your truck to go and its capability. beyond bolt vs. weld-on, sliders are pretty comparable if you go for actual quality made one rather than budget shortcut versions. within the realm of quality sliders, the only significant differences, and it's not that significant, is weight. if you go lighter you'll pay dearly. they go from around 100lbs total to 150lbs total more or less. as you get down under 100lbs the price skyrockets. as me how i know.

Personally think BAMF is the best!

    Bolt on
    20 degrees
    DOM tubing
    Kick out
    Fill plates

Thanks for your input everyone! I went with 25 degree DOM 1.75” tubing Rock Sliders from Cali Raised Offroad (in Buena Park, CA.)

I went with them primarily because: 1) They didn’t charge more for DOM 2) I could go pick up without paying for shipping (I live in Riverside, CA) and 3) There was no wait time.

    https://caliraisedled.com/products/sliders

Their fabrication supplier is Apex Fabworks. If you want to order it directly from them and get them shipped to a shop of your choice.

I'm also new to this scene. I've got MOBTOWN bolt ons... I bought them second hand here on TW. I told myself I wasn't going to get sliders for a while since I had just bought wheels and tires unless I found a pair of Mobtown bolt-ons that I couldn't pass up--- and of course I've been allergic to saving money since I bought this truck. But they are fierce. I have zero quams with durability as the design is sick. It doesn't just bolt on like most others, they have a clamp that encapsulates the frame, and they've fabricated parts perfectly. Its not hard to install just time consuming for good measure. The way I see it is I bought an expensive truck so I'm getting what think is the best and I'm not cutting corners. These guys at @Mobtown Offroad even sent me a piece of hardware for these sliders that the person I bought them from had lost. They will have my business on the rest of my armor as after the quality and design of these sliders is clearly well thought out and robust. And obv the customer service/support.

Great info here - thanks. Can anyone tell me if the bolt-on Mobtown and/or Cali Raised sliders are compatible with a Hi-Lift jack for raising the vehicle? (I have a 2019 DCLB).

That red cradle thing on my HiLift is actually made by Mobtown to hold the slider on the jack

Apparently they moved their shop and opened up, in Fort Worth, the first of June. I'm going to need to make a trip over there soon.

    None as of yet
The ones you build yourself

But for those more normal people mob town looks to have the best attachment method for bolt on. I would advise against welding to the frame. Could open a can of worms with rust and potential warranty crap. and if you hit hard enough to warrant a welded on set of sliders they're going to get mangled and the frame tweaked regardless so might as well Have them removable.

Mobtowns are probably the strongest, they gussets where most other companies dont and they box the frame when mounting that provides rigidity to the whole truck, the energy is abosrbed and dispersed through the frame instead of a single mounting point.

There website appears to be down @Mobtown Offroad

    I'll be installing these soon:
    Rock Sliders

Shipping cost is less because they're two pieces that bolt together.
