I have 2014 with 40000 miles on it. I developed a leak between the tailpipe and catalytic converter flanges . does anyone know if this repair would be covered under warranty. I bought the extended warranty but the dealer is saying it's not covered because its after the manifold

If they said no, then no.

Confirm by reading the covered items in your warranty documents.

If it is after the cat, no.
Cat forward is emissions. After the cat is sound control. Unless you ask Cali.
Check your paperwork for notations on non-emissions exhaust components.

Probably easiest to just get another OEM crush gasket and replace it yourself. I wouldnt waste my time fooling with the dealers

    That’s a fancy title.

It says nothing on what that really means and covers. You have to read the fine print where covered and excludes items are listed specifically by name.

Meineke Muffler or similar. They can patch it up for you for a lot less than replacing the pipe.

I don't know how many miles the O/P has now but I would not cancel the warranty. Any one of those big ticket items will be worth the cost of the warranty. I had a claim of almost $4000.00 on a Ford Windstar van. The side door motor went, the fuel tank vent solenoid, the radio and some other minor things all at the same time. I also had claims on a Caravan... abs module, door motors, tailgate lift motor, rear air conditioner control and other minor parts. These things add up fast and when you claim it on the warranty you will only be liable for the deductible, maybe $100.00.

Yeah, I was just saying that was an option if he was adamant about it.

Heres what i run, its an equal length ypipe custom made. If you want something cheaper, i think URD has some ypipes as well that would be an upgrade over the stock one. Keep in mind if you have smog inspections in your state, most aftermarket ypipes delete the secondary set of cats
