This is probably old news but to help with the fishing the harness through the boot, eletric tape the plug end to the tip of a long flat head and poke through. It will reduce the anger of trying to fish it and stretch the boot by hand. As long as you're careful you will not damage anything.

I can’t get the damn boot out, it’s driving me insane! Any tips on that?

 

Lucky for me all wiring is basically done. Just have to change wire plug on mirror.

Yep, me too, already ran the wire a month ago. Took me about 10 mins. Soldered and shrink sleeve both sides. Used the VLEDs plugs.

 

Just got the mail that mine shipped, immediately followed by a mail that my order was delivered. Install starts soon...

I was not able to finish my install today :-/ I am bummed may not be able to get to it for a few days...

Did the passenger side trimming, got the pod fitments and vleds in the mirrors and back on the doors, but just could not get the boot out before I ran out of time. I will eventually try again!

Pulling the speaker (4 bolts) helped me gain better access for zip tying to the stock harness. I have a 2017 and had to trim passengers side rib. I used heat shrink on the vled connector just for added water security. Silicone spray helped get the boots back on. I used a hemostat to fish the wires through the boot, Worked pretty well (make sure it's not plugged into the T harness so u don't accidentally short the wires). Whole install took about 3 hours but I installed some sound deadening while I was in there.

 

Installed one new mirror with new puddle. Will compare to V1 puddle when it gets dark but I can already tell it's much brighter. Will post pics.

 

I'm really curious. I haven't even had a moment to compare it to my V1

 

It rained as soon as I finished but there is light! The photo is taken with Google night mode so the puddles don't look as bright as they actually are.

 

Looks great! Wait until you start using them with the fade on-fade off and proximity auto turn on

 

Quick question guys. So when the harness is routed from driver door, is it routed under the dash trim, then on passenger side under the carpet? Just trying to nail down these instructions before I do the install Saturday. Thanks!
