Confirmed. The entire West Coast is at a 38° incline. I guess that's why the surfing is so good there, and also why parking is such a bitch.

This is exactly why we don't believe the author, User error; NOT the engine (sorry car motor), not Toyota's design, the uninformed drivers/owner's. Most vehicles are over built to begin and are overkill to fit the needs of 98% of the owners. Well except west coast soyboys. Sorry, you Seattle an southern CA folks weird me out. Okay, city off-road truck owners - home depot type - with tent thingys over your truck bed type folks.

I did read them, all similar situations to the "turd gen" smoking. Gasket issues tend to be apparent all the time, not just on steep hills.

The real point is ALL of this is just anecdotal data points. Couple trucks smoking on a hills, even fewer having engine failure. Plenty of trucks out there doing steep stuff with no issues.

People on this site LOVE drawing grand conclusions about hundreds of thousands of vehicles with anecdotal data points. Until you do a controlled study with an appropriate sample size, it's all just a bunch of dick wagging.

I never understood this reference and its like baby boomer's new favorite buzzword lol, facebook is ruining you guys, or you're ruining facebook, can't tell yet :D

Anyways it seems to be a reference to the idea that soy increases estrogen? I think someone saw the word " phytoestrogen" and thought that = estrogen. They're actually totally different... but anyways it always seems to be thrown around by baby boomers with beer guts... which is super ironic, considering alcohol actually DOES raise your estrogen, hence all the boomers with manboobs...

Legumes on the other hand are actually incredibly nutrient dense, loaded with protein, iron and magnesium and have zero cholesterol, you should give them a shot sometime it'll help with the beer gut

I feel like I'm your arch nemesis... not only am I from Seattle, and now live in Socal, but I have an RTT and I'm a vegan... VEGAN!!! OMG I know freaky stuff :broccoli:

I've also been to burning man... BURNING MAN! :alien:

Hope I come across you in the desert so I can REALLY weird you out

Dozens out of near a million of these trucks on the road? Sounds like a total total, irrefutable, win for Toyota in terms of reliability and good design. Their engineering department definitely has Tacoma World beat!

Well, I believe it's technically hops that raise estrogen. Which is why you have all these feminine hipsters in Seattle drinking the most bitter beer they can get their hands on. On the other hand, fat from a beer belly ALSO increases estrogen, so I guess you're screwed both ways. But no reason to seek out extra estrogen by piling on the hops.

I must be the only person that saw the new Raptor try Truck Night in America and the dashboard lights went on like a Christmas tree and died a horrific death when it hit the swamp.
