I think it's like a variation on a "rocket stove". Air pulls from the bottom leg of the L shape, fire and heat shoot up from the top, and wood is fed down the diagonal. If the draw is correct (dimensions of the tubing) they burn practically like jet engines. Wicked hot but they eat up a lot of fuel.

    Am I right @Wixo ?

Would be good for anything that likes hot and fast cooking. Seared tuna, Asian wok stuff, searing a steak, shishkabobs is the stuff is cut small maybe?

Now watch me be way off on what I'm thinking it is.

Brisket and Butt are both right around 170 now. Not wrapping either. Want to build a good bark. Haven’t been wrapping much at all lately I think I’m like it more, I like the texture and flavor profiles.

I know it will drive @Misplaced Nebraskan insane but I haven’t even opened her up to look at it. ;)

You we're almost there. Change this "Wicked hot but they eat up a lot of fuel." to Wicked hot but dont use almost any fuel.

It is a rocket stove. Its like a portable version of the Carolina bbq pit, the one where you dig 2 holes that connect under ground.

@Misplaced Nebraskan is so distraught at the thought of no pics and not opening the lid that he’s not even here.

Nice. Be careful when starting each time. Only use medium flame at first, then bump to high. I warped it 2nd time using after spending time to properly season it. Had to take back and exchange.

You bought it didn't you? You already have like 17 pictures, 3 videos, 4 audio files and it now has it's own Instagram. I know it.

    soooo.... i did a thing....

yuuuuuuuuge!!!! thanks again @itzyoboipaul !!! I ended up selling a bottle of whiskey I won. The profit from that covered this purchase! so I'm into this thing -$50... not bad! talked them to $500. The lid is a bit out of round. it shuts and seals just needs some tweaks. chipping and rusting a little but I'll have it blasted and painted at some point. probably bright red or Merica themed!
