Yup. Knowledge is power! Personally I’ll run only oem for the balljoints. on these trucks. My oems lasted 280k. That’s pretty impressive. My corolla is still on its originals at 760k

My dream Caddy is a 62 or 63 Coupe DeVille. I fell in love with them when I worked at the Cadillac junkyard. I could never afford one though, that's a hell of an expensive project car! But I still wish. That and a 66 El Camino.

Although I love the color green, just not on almost all cars. But you get the idea.Mayo_02-850x567.jpg Mayo_03.jpg

    Minus the hood scoop.

Yeah, especially on these tacos as well, just the design of it requires it to be a high quality ball joint. And if you use oem it should last very long. The design wasn't built for a lesser spec ball joint to be able to be successfully used there. But some do get good results with aftermarket but it's a bit of luck I'd imagine

Pretty sure the timing chain o ring thing is leaking on my sisters rav4. The bottom of the timing cover always looks wet. Uses about a quart every 5k.

Eh. Might be. They suck to replace on a rav. Have to remove the intake manifold.

Corolla started leaking oil out of the head gasket. So next year for the 800k mark I might just finally rebuild the motor on a budget

I think shes gonna be looking for a new ride in a year or so, so adding oil whenever needed is fine enough. Cars only got 120k on it, kinda sad that it uses that much oil considering how fun it is to drive. If I didnt need a truck, Id seriously consider a Rav.
