I use to use a vinegar and oil base Italian salad dressing and beer for marinade. I'll have to look but I don't think I've seen Cavenders in the store.

 :annoyed: could a water meter box FULL of dirt be a reason why my sprinklers aren't working correctly?

If the dirt is messing valves or you have dirt in your lines.

We get so much sand in our irrigation systems they build in a "blow by" for it. It's really just T with a cap on it. Remove the cap, put the system on manual and blow out all the sand.

I really want to rip out the grass and put in artificial turf then I'll just have drip lines for trees and shrubs.

I have 2 valve boxes and the one packed full of dirt, the valves are working (for now anyway) The other box - zone one comes on and goes off as advertised. When zone 2 comes on, zone 1 also comes on...... that's what got me looking in the first place. :notsure: so will clean both boxes out, fix valve one and two, and put some chicken wire under the boxes to keep the moles out!!

Moles? Only one way to deal with them!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmHQO-Q_wrU

Sooo, another fun day dealing with the roof. Insurance wants to send an engineer now. I guess their adjuster couldn't find a reason to deny the claim. Now I have to wait a week till they show, then another 2 for a report, and maybe then get a decision.
Also found out my GAF shingles are crap and they have already had multiple lawsuits. If this turns out to be manufacturer defect then the insurance company just walks away. I can file with GAF but the lawyers already sucked up the funds. Nothing left but pennies. Meanwhile, GAF keeps selling shingles like nothing happened.

We use a shop vac for cleaning utility boxes. Works way better than anything else we've ever tried.

I seriously considered that when I was heading in the house, after digging in the one for an hour.

For that we use a big flat tip screw driver to loosen the material. Just watch out for any wires or anything else you don't want to get into.

That's what I was doing, using a long screw driver. I don't want to screw up the wires.... then I'd have to dig more trenches....

    I hate chicken mcnuggets.
