Anyone else run the Cali Raised 32” light bar hidden in the grill? Or any other grill light bar for that matter? Got mine from Cali Raised in the mail today and installed it this afternoon. Big fan of the way it looks.

Thank you Wheeler's! I'll add it to the pile... Other than some brake fluid, that should do it for my date on the 9th. :)

The problem with this is if the cyclist hugs the edge of the road, some shithead will try and pass at precisely the wrong moment. Knowingly. Been there, done that. Riding far enough over to prevent passing is a defensive move that pisses people off (or maybe the rider is just completely naive). Legally the cyclist has every right to be there, but reality says otherwise. I hate being in that situation and understand it from both sides. So I avoid it whenever possible. And discourage it as much as I can.

Riding in and around Austin/ CP/ Leander is scary as fuck. And as Parmer/ Reagan continues to develop, that road’s just gonna get worse. One day last summer I saw 3 different groups riding 1431 eastbound between @Texoma ‘s place and Nameless. That blew my mind.

I used to be content riding around here. Then fuck face Aaron Davison and his fuck face lawyer made their names known. Fuck those guys.

    Anywho - what’d I miss?

Remember my plan to get my wife a vehicle she wanted then getting myself back into a Taco? Well, she totaled her car and got into the van she’s wanted for years. Oldest turns 16 in 2 years. I’m counting down the days.

ATTENTION AUSTIN PEEPS with SECOND GENS:

One of my coworkers here just acquired himself a 2019 TRD OR, and no longer can use the bed bars he had in his 2013. He still has the bars, and is offering them to me in the event that any TW or TTC members want them.

They are FREE(ish) - you gotta come get 'em or arrange TW express because I don't have a place to store them.

He is giving them to me today, so when he reaches out I'll get pics and post them up. I'll also drop this note in the TX Classified Thread.

    Thanks y'all!

Here's another story of my cycling experiences in this increasingly jackass city... Back when we lived in Avery Ranch, and before the city created a bike lane on Avery Ranch Blvd. by shrinking the width of the two lanes and painting a stripe, I used to ride in the middle of the right lane, for the reasons you mention above; it's my right, and it kept me safe(r) by preventing a car trying to slide by me. One day I was riding west, on the way to Parmer, when I felt a vehicle very close behind me. The dickhead finally passed me, then slowed to a complete stop. I jumped off, laid my bike down and walked up to the passenger window, which Mr. Dumb:censored: had rolled down, and asked him what his problem was. He proceeded to tell me I had no right to be on the road, and to get on the sidewalk. I invited him to further discuss his take on the situation, but outside his truck, face to face. He declined, multiple times, then drove away.

We all know how long Austin stop lights are; normally that sucks, but not this time. He was stuck at the light at AR Blvd. and Parmer when I caught up to him, and I again invited him to further discussions, suggesting he pull his truck into the Walgreen's parking lot, where he could get out and we could engage in playful banter. He didn't respond; in fact, he didn't even look at me, choosing to stare straight ahead and keep his window rolled up. Odd behavior, for someone who obviously knew so much about where cyclists should ride!

The kicker about this whole story is that I had a friend in the po-po department run the guy's plate, and he lived in Cat Hollow, not Avery Ranch. Why that matters is that Avery Ranch Blvd. was built, and is 100% being paid for, by AR residents; it was the subject of a bond election that was passed on a 1-0 vote, with the lone vote being the guy who sold the land to the developer. Texas legal chicanery! :censored: yeah!

But I digress... the kicker is that the guy was driving on a street that I was paying for, not him, and he was telling me I had no right to be on it! :bananadead:

I'm going to keep cycling until I can't anymore, obeying the applicable laws, and (one finger) saluting those who think I have no right to be there.

:bored::laser:Some time in the past Sexoma was bored so decided to do some welding
:welder:He got an alert from his cctv cameras so he checked it out
:bikewhoops::ohsnap: Oh snap it was lance armstrong biking on his street
:mudding:He quickly hopped into his truck and took the long route to cut him off
:sawzall::ohsnap::confused: Lance saw Sexoma coming at him and was confused. Sexoma knocked him off his bike, cut the bike in half
:burnrubber::cheers: Sexoma laughed at him, peeled off and went home for a beer never to be seen again. UNSOLVED MYSTERIES
