Heard that. Understand the whaling thing, but 5 years in a japanese prision doesn't seem fun to me! They almost hurt people all the time too. Bet my kids could sign up for that ship. lol

 

I watched this last night...............these guys are getting stupid!

 

They have been all along. This may be their strategy though. The more stupid they are the more attention they get.

I hadn't seen this thread so I accidentally started 1. Here is what I think

Seems to be a very stupid show. I understand the reason for wanting to stop it but really. Americans sticking their noses where they don't belong and doing it totally wrong in my opinion. They are going to their country and attacking/harassing Japanese ships that are doing what they have the right to do. If the roles were switched I bet their would be tons of people saying sink their ships and send them back to their country, I know I would. Hell I am saying it now! But what gets me is that they are putting it on Television. To me its like filming a crime and making it public.

 

There aren't many Americans involved. Mostly Australian I believe.

The Sea Shepard is Captained by Paul Watson (Canadian) he has a wide crew from various parts of the world. There are some American film crew as well as a new member Daryl Hannah for the up and coming season on board.

My point is that the Americans are again putting our noses where they don't belong. Daryl Hannah is on the crew and the show is playing on American television. Which is what I feel is the largest problem. I understand the Japanese have a fishy whaling license but regardless it is not the job of the Eco terrorist to stop this with the techniques they are using. Two wrongs don't make a right.

 

I'm aware there are some American crew I just wasn't sure if you knew the crew wasn't entirely American.

 

Daryl Hannah joined the Sea Shepherd crew of the Steve Irwin Dec. 4th 2008.
She only did the Antarctica mission.

 

finally got the chance to watch this show. it is awful what is happening to the whales, im weak for animals, but those guys are absolute idiots. they are going to get themselves, or others killed one day.

i applaud their efforts in wanting to stop this but damn, they are certifiable!

Yeah it was my mistake for not writing it down like I was thinking it. I was more speaking about americans in the sense that it is airing on Animal Planet. And how we are in a way backing the criminal actions of a vessel no matter its origin. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow.
