Maine has the same dumb ass law about growlers. I think it’s a law the breweries pushed for.

    400... nothing impressive.
Gonna do the typical stuff once I clear the 600 mark... should get me better throttle response, and a decent bump in power...

After that, its big bore, compression bump, cams, and carb... these things are all black holes...

Oh... and this...(ignore messy kitchen, been a rough couple days)20190530_203906.jpg

Got some clover down this morning to fill in some gaps where the grass seed missed/didn't take and then some compost on top. Soil is rocky so that is the main issue, but clover will work well to fill it out. Also filled in a few areas with top soil on a part of the yard that wasn't level and I've recently started mowing. Then took the dogs on a 4 wheeler ride around some of the trails I cut a few years ago. More trees down than I would have expected, and I gotta find a way to get a brush hog across the river or spend 3 years weed whacking all the stupid prickers everywhere.

Maybe a tow behind that will work on the 4wheeler, but those aren't cheap. Gotta see if there might be a place around I can rent one from.

Clover is a nitrogen fixer, too, so it'll help enrich the soil as well.

I've also been seeing that it's roots help with soil compaction, self fertilizes and also crowds out other broadleaf weeds! This stuff is great. I am actually going to mix it into our established lawn as well for all of those reasons. Its supposed to be drought tolerant too, so less watering. I'm hoping it saves money as well beside watering time, not as much fertlizer will be needed and areation shouldn't be as big of an issue on our heavily used areas.

I might be getting a little over excited about it in my head, but if it even works half as well as I've been told and read online I will be happy. Your clover lawn actually got me googling it. So thanks Noel!

Yeah, I'm the same way. I cleared out a stretch of scrub along the roadside this spring, and I've been dragging the GF down there a few times a week to show off the new seeds that have sprouted

Right now it's mostly clover and buckwheat, but I've also got some wildflowers and a few small raised beds for squash that I tucked in.

 Yeah my wife will humor me, but she just wants results.

How long did yours take to sprout? I'm not sure how often I'll water what I just put down, but it's showing rain almost everyday in the next week or so. Rained last night and the compost that got put on top was wet as well. Only did about 1/4 inch, maybe a 1/2 in some places if I went over it twice.

I scattered the seeds before a rainy stretch so that I wouldn't have to water (it's roughly 3 hoses away from the house, which seemed like too much work) and the buckwheat started sprouting about 3 days in, the clover after about a week, and the wildflowers mostly had poked through at the 10 day mark. The Sunflowers took a little longer, but they're set back under the tree canopy so they didn't get as much moisture (and they were some older seeds, too, I think)

I think I've talked my wife into reseeding our lawn with clover. Any idea where I might look to get enough to overseed a half acre?

Don't order it online, whatever you do. You'll get ripped off.
Local farm supply store will usually have it in stock, if you've got a farmer's union or something of that nature in the area.

Edit- From a quick google search, Robbins Garden Center might be your best bet.
