How about a voltage booster like crashnburn and I are running?

It's a fuse that replaces a stock fuse under the hood. It increases the voltage output to better serve the northstar deepcyle I'm running. I honestly know very little. @crashnburn80 is the lighting thread wizard that turned me on to it. Hes my wrenching buddy. He could accurately give you all details.

He says its within the safe zone, just more output than stock without the costly alternator upgrade.

Increasing the charging voltage will have zero effect of the regulated 5v circuits.

    You’re perfectly ok!

Yep, the PCM regulated 5V circuits will stay that way, the PCM does not like seeing increased voltages of over 14.8-15v, however, and in the long run it may fail prematurely because of those voltage boosters.

With +0.6v it puts typical voltage close to 14.2v, peak immediately after startup at about 14.7 which then drops off quickly.

Good thing you told me, because I was going to apply 24V to it ;)

Took the meth leg (where all the nozzles are installed) out and noticed this. It appears to be scale, not corrosion. And it's only on the throttle "lip", not near the butterfly itself.

I suppose given that I think I spray more water/methanol than anyone else that I know of (675cc/min) - I think it must pool there sometimes. There wasn't any liquid sitting there, however, when I pulled it apart.

Also, I inspected the nozzles while I was there and I didn't see any scale at all. I will probably do a de-scaling soon anyway, just to be sure.

    Stay cool my friends.

I had similar. It's from going wot followed by immediately decelerating for extended periods. I did a quick scour pad and vaccum to clean.

Other news. My pump quit after a year. Snow really took good care of me as I've bought another and the braided lines too.

Ok after a very long time. Finally getting stuff done. A friend is welding the nozzle bung to my intake hopefully this weekend. Got everything mounted in the bed. Got the controller mounted. Not just need to wire everything. And plumb the rest of it. Won’t be that bad. Did you guys run the vacuum line through the drivers side of the firewall I’m guessing by the length? Also. I’m running the solenoid so I’m pretty sure I don’t need the check valve

I currently have a #5. Too big isnt helpful. This is one of those things where less is more. @Athlaos found a ceiling where he had to back it off.

i think i have #2 and a #5 nozzle maybe ill try the #2 and go from there. i would really like to get it dialed in and then use the hp tuner to cut some fuel back at the top end and more meth

I'd start with a #3 or #4 then. If you have it come on at 4 or 5lbs and peak at 7 or 8lbs you're well within a happy place. If you have too much the engine just slightly bogs. No harm done. Reason I may go back to 22's in the sparkplug heat rating.

Ya I guess it’s just trial and error. Might have to get the 2.5 pulley too lol. 08F0834A-4793-471F-AB59-456686635BF1.jpg
