Just got around to wrapping up Season 3. I avoided all spoilers this whole time, too, and had NO idea of Jeremy's announcement at the end. Too bad. I know I'm not alone in this, but their shows (TG and GT) have been my favorite shows on TV for nearly every season that they aired. I liked the tribute to Ford at the end and rolling it in to that announcement made for a pretty touching ending to their run.

Same here. I really liked the segments that the studio helped deliver - both Top Gear and The Grand Tour. We'll lose the News/Conversation Street and the car reviews, which I loved. The cinematic quality of how they filmed those reviews was breathtaking. The road trips are top notch entertainment, the reviews and car tests were pure car porn.

I think Season 3 of The Grand Tour was every bit as good as any season of Top Gear. The first couple of seasons of The Grand Tour were a tad rough as they figured out if segments that were similar, though not the same, as their Top Gear counterparts could add any value. The celebrity segment on Top Gear was usually dull, but it was downright painful on The Grand Tour. They hit their stride this season, though. Pacing was good, few (if any) parts of the show felt unnecessary, the lap board became a character in the show (all sorts of cars got placed on the list, not just the big reviews). It was great.

Not me. I mean, I really enjoy the specials because those three are so damn entertaining, but the segments on the cars specifically is what made my pants a little tighter. Everything from the P1/918/LaFerrari comparison to Jeremy hooning around in a one-off Stratos that cost three-quarter of a million dollars was automotive gold to me. Loved every minute of it. I'll miss that the most.

The specials will still be really good, however, and I'll gladly watch each of them. Their chemistry is unrivaled.

Hopefully there will be more side projects for them to get involved in, too, though without the mega-budget and production team behind them, it'll feel a little lacking.

    All good things...

I'm loving the May vignettes. Truly funny.

Has anyone here seen episodes of the newest Top Gear reboot on the BBC? It's hard to write this given how it booted the original crew, but the BBC finally did it right. I dare to say it, but I honestly like the new series.

I never really gave the rebooted Top Gear a chance, perhaps wrongfully. Maybe I will, one day.

Each paycheck I pinch off a few bucks, get an iTunes gift card, and buy a few more of the original series, with Jeremy, Richard, and James. A nice little luxury to have those when I have a spare minute here and there.

It looks good but I haven't seen any yet. I thought the LeBlanc ones were pretty good. It will never be as good as the original got but I'm not going to bash it cause of that either. They made it as entertaining as they could and still reviewed cars.

Broke down and watched the first few episodes of the Top Gear UK new season. Chris Harris takes a beating from Paddy and Flintoff to the point it gets old. Content was decent 1 special with more upcoming. One big thing that sucked was not seeing the Stig actually run the timed laps. For whatever reason they just cut to posting the times. Looking forward to seeing Sabine on an upcoming episode, she cracks me up. Did not think Leblanc was horrible. Getting rid of Chris Evans was the biggest improvement made since the trio left.

I believe I heard that they have finished filming the first episode of season 4. So that’s good.
