Rear spring TSB, tailgate lock, 5100s at 1.75
Recently bought a 2010 Tacoma Dbl Cab S/B Sport 4x4. In looking at the plate on the door jamb, it states build date is April of 2010.

In trying to figure out if this truck is under the TSB, I looked at the rear springs but only saw two long leafs on top, with one much thicker shorter leaf on the bottom of these two.

I tried reading the TSB but had trouble understanding if my truck applies or not, OR, was the build date after that when the rear spring problem was "fixed"??

Anybody help? I want to start working on new tires and wheels, 5100's etc but can't figure out if I need to have the TSB done as suggested here. I don't want to look like a dope calling up the dealer if mine has been "fixed". Thanks much!

As long as you are still within the 3yr/36k warranty and you are experiencing a "harsh ride" when hauling a load then yes, your truck qualifies.

It hasn't been TSB 'd (is that a word?) if there are only 3 leafs under there (2+ 1 overload)

You do not have the TSB.

This is what the TSB springs will look like:

I missed the warranty 36 months/36000 miles. What are my options?

Pay for it. If you feel you need it buy an AAL from Toytec. With that option you won't get the Billies all the way around.
