Y,know, if Toyota really were a trendsetter.
    I can feel it too.

edit: I'm serious, I think I'm getting bored with trucks.
I grew bored with muscle cars and bought a Tacoma.....what's next?

Ah, thank you for that. Lemon law is nonsense since it doesn't qualify yet. Of course Toyota won't voluntarily lemon law the vehicle. Most manufactures won't do that, and Toyota in particular. That's why I told him he needs to talk to a lawyer about his warranty and all that. But he didn't want to. Personally, if Toyota replaced the engine in my truck, I'd shut up and be a happy camper. I've griped a lot because they simply refuse to do any work on my truck and deny issues exist. But this guy just got 10k of free work, shut up and be happy dude.

The front looks like a car, the back looks like a truck.

The front is where you drive, the back is where you fuck.

The 1GR-FE and the 2GR-FE share the same block. That's it. Different crank, pistons, camshafts, heads and intake manifold. That said... if you tip them on an acute angle where the oil is all at one end... they will both likely smoke.

I get the guys displeasure. Buying a vehicle has always had a bit of gambling to it though.

Lots of engines i miss from the past.

Mostly glad I didn't follow up my threat of "If Chevy stops making the 350, I'm going to kill myself!" mostly.

Same/similar can be said about the Chevrolet 265, 283, 302, 305, 350... etc. They are all built on the same architecture. You very likely can make a 3.5 into a 4.0 if one so desired. It probably wouldn't solve the problems people think the 3.5 has though.

    If that's really a 4x4 conversion, that's pretty cool.

been there. X/19, led to a Fiero addiction.

I'm serious about the van. Already have an old Sienna, it's very useful and now that I think about it, it's begging to be murdered.

FIFY, some of you don't know the struggle of a Bronco that can't pull it self out of it's own ruts.

    WRONG!

The 1GR-FE is a fucking truck motor. It is immune to smoking.

The 2GR is a stupid car motor.

    It is therefore inferior.

    hmmmm.
I'm already seeing the shift from 5 lug Tacos to Siennas for many of the (poor) workmen, landscapers because of the death of affordable Tacos now.

I wonder how bad it rubs with 31's?
