Yeah I’m the same way. I needed productivity in a couple of image stitching programs so Threadripper was a god send when it came out. Same with the RTX series which, once they got he new version of CUDA actually working, is some seriously insane GPGPU goodness.

Nah there wont be any rabbit holes for me for awhile. Least for the desktop pc. MAYBE a NVME SSD at some point to replace the 256gb SATA III one i have right now. Plus I have no intentions of upgrading the monitors as of yet (just 1080p 60hz). Not that i wouldnt love to upgrade just have other things to spend the $$ on lol

I just dont really play any FPS games and the games I do play work just fine.

My next upgrades are going to be to the Unraid server. The drives in it are from 2012-2014 and run 24/7. Just media so not heavy usage. A lot of 2tb and 3tb drives so Ill upgrade with a couple 8tb drives and keep this server as a monthly backup mirror.

Yeah. I haven’t seen it reviewed yet. Some are saying there have been production problems. That being said there are similar panels with lower refresh rates and most reviewers said the true bezeless wrap around effect is like playing VR but without the headset or annoying controllers.

I’d say it’ll be heavily dependent on your local market. Check out CL and see what other similar rigs are selling for. I mean actually selling for, not sitting for months online for. That should give you a good idea.

Unfortunately it’ll probably be less than you want for it. I know pre 8th gen Intel hardware isn’t worth as much as it once was with the core wars on and new memory/cpu prices getting low again.

Phone camera quality isn't the best but here is my setup. By the way, avoid TCL TVs, terrible quality.

The Chinese factories that make TCL also make most of the cheap house names like Emerson, RCA, Magnavox, etc. They actually occasionally make an okay TV, especially at their price point, but their market focus is pouring out cheap crap that people will want to replace in a year or two.

I have a 4K 55” RCA that’s an exact copy of one of the TCL models sold at Costco. I like it for the basement but when I go upstairs and see the picture on my 65” 4K Sony it’s clear, no pun intended, which TV is better. That being said I paid nearly triple the price for the Sony so it better be good lol.

    Yeah.
I got a 55" 4K Sony for the man cave (sports and gaming), and once my wife saw it I had to go back for the 65" for the family room. Getting up into that price range there are lots of good options as far as screen quality, but I really like Android TV. Had a Samsung BluRay player, software sucked, and their smart tv software didn't seem any better. For that matter, my next phone will be a Pixel, tired of Samsung's crappy software. Who even uses Bixby? I don't need a dang Bixby button.

Yeah I went Sony for the same reason. Native Android support is great. The Sony TV I bought uses a Samsung panel lol. There’s only a couple of companies making high end panel technology and they supply everyone in a pretty competitive market so brand name means very little beyond what features set you want.

It does. But won’t fit any mounting places in the case. Works for now until I go full liquid cooled

Yes it does, it was bought last year after being highly recommended. Exchanging emails with support for help but their quick fixes have not worked. Backlight wont turn on and from what I've read this is most likely a bad power board.
