This wire wheel to por15 project better be worth it. And hope I do it right. Im 2 hours into it and have the behind the rear axle and wheel wells done. The respirator is 110% necessary. Glad there is still solid metal under the rust/previous owners coating. Unfortunately the wire wheels on my grinder and drill can't get every hard to get to spot.

Thanks, your a bad influence on me. Got to stop watching you on YouTube. Installed the same on mine, minus the black section. But, thanks for the 10% off.

I agree 100% you should take the simple additional step of treating the entire area with a product like shown above or what I would recommend as an even better product Ospho Rust treatment. This stuff is what the pros use and I’ve used it with amazing results. It also preps the surface for painting.

Almost ready for the big trip!

Are these number acceptable with a ~3” lift from king extended travel coilovers and TC upper control arms?

I’m not familiar with the por15 exact setup but I would do everything you want to do to the surface then use the Ospho as the last step before painting. It neutralizes any remaining rust and acts like a primer for the bare metal surface. Once it dries you can paint directly over it. I’ve used it in Industrial settings on metal piping and have always had great results.

I did mine a little different than the others I've seen by placing it on an angle. I oriented the plug in the light hole with the bolt holes on the left side (90 degrees clockwise form the stock orientation). Then I trimmed just enough plastic on the back of the plug until it went in the light hole. Once it was all the way in I twisted it counter clockwise to match the angle on the bumper. This way the plastic tabs on the back are actually holding it in on 3 sides and the bolts hold the 4th side.

Here's an approximation of what needs trimmed (yellow lines). Same on both sides. The red thing by the thumb is another tab you can't see in the picture. It just needs a corner shaved down enough to fit in the hole. I did all my cuts with a sharp pocket knife, trimming a little at a time and test fitting. Picture credits to @Arkie-Marty
