I also have a gap on the driver side pod. Thinking it was an inference problem like on the passenger side (see meso’s post # 2249), I spent a while trimming away plastic in the mirror that might have been interfering. No luck. The gap remains. The middle snap on my driver side pod also broke similar to the others. Pic of my driver side gap:

I’m considering cutting this boot and taping back shut to get this damn harness through. It’s crazy how the simplest of “steps” are truly the hardest

If I can get this wire through the boot before it’s night time I’ll make a video doing just that to help. It’s easy once you do it a couple times

Start from the bottom and work your way up. Give it a good pull but don't go hulk. You will hear the clips release.

Do u have the boot off yet? Consider using long pliers or a hemostat to reach through the boot and grab the clip to pull it through the boot. Just make sure it's not connected on the other side so u don't short any of the pins out.

Figured a trick out. I removed the harness from inside the bottom door where boot was. Gave easier access. Then I fed part of that wiring through after I got the Meso wiring through some, freed up space, went way easier after that.

Das boot! I was able to pop it out by just working it by hand in-between the door/cab. Where the accordion is.

I've got it out on both the door and cab ends. Just trying to feed the cable through. Don't really have anything on hand I can stick through and pull it through with.. maybe tape it to my poker and pull it?

Someone else did that with a screwdriver. Might work! On drivers side I did tape it up, silicone spray then shove it through the longer boot with my index finger and keep shoving it with the cable then reach it on the cab side.
