See I would have bought some "Black gold" tires and put the original rims on there, took off the winch, etc and traded it in like that.

Indeed. I thought about it for five minutes. But I was recovering from an injured shoulder and didn’t want to deal with removing that heavy winch, or buying a set of used OE wheels and tires to replace those with, etc.

At some point, we have to decide how much trading in is worth in terms of time and convenience.

I still have some leftover Jeep parts in my garage I have to sell.

I've sold cars on Craigslist and cars.com and it's not difficult, especially for used Toyota's. Look at cars.com to find what dealers are asking for nearby used trucks like yours and undercut them -- it's probably much more than trade in. Price in fair value of your customization's if you don't want to remove them -- many buyers probably want them. Do everything by email until comfortable to meet. Once sold, making a deal on your next ride will be much easier. It's kinda fun being the seller when you have several buyers emailing you!

Looks like a good deal. Learned this in the Jeep world. Always buy a heavily modded mall cruiser if possible, then you get all those mods for basically stock price.
