    I figured out a solution for loose buttons. I took my fob apart and put one strip of black electrical tape across the back of all 3 buttons. Pressed it down firm. Then reassembled it. It’s tight now and the tape is hidden on the inside. With the tape on, it made it easier to assemble since the buttons were taped down from the back.

    Gotcha. I took that little black pad from the inside of my OEM fob and placed it in the Meso one too. It came right out of the OEM fob.

    I think alot of people forgot this pad, I put the pad in my pink key = no wiggle, when I didnt have the pad in my orange key = wiggle, adding the pad to the orange key = no wiggle

    Probably. I did at first. Easy to forget.

    Same thing for me, no pad= wiggle. Pad = no wiggle.

    The OEM rubber Pad is a MUST to reuse. It creates a waterproof barrier and also takes up the space so the buttons won’t wiggle. The was designed to reuse it

    We (me and the Cav_BluTRD at least) are referring to the black rubber square on the back of the chipset, without that there is wiggle, but with it there is no wiggle.

    Ahh sorry didn’t read all the way. I thought everyone was referring to the clear/whiteish water barrier membrane. I know what you are talking about now. It is the small black square rubber cushion behind the transmitter chip. I designed my fob to have the same “pad spot” in case it were to be reused. You are saying this fixes the lock wiggle? I thought I tried this.. but apparently not

    Can confirm, that black pad does help but I still have a little jiggle. It's now mostly horizontal more than vertical (shakes in place but doesn't sink into fob).

    Yeah I am having the button mold reworked as we speak to take up that tiny bit of wiggle. But transfering the stock pad over might help make it even more solid.

    At first I didn't put the pad in mine cause I didn't see it when I did my orange key, but when I did my pink one I saw it. I thought it was a thermal pad, but that would make no sense to have a thermal pad on a key chip. Didn't think anything about it not being in one key till I noticed it had wiggle and the other didn't have wiggle. Swapped that pad over and wiggle was gone.

    I'm happy, kids think the keys are cool too.

    Also @MESO how waterproof are these keys now? If I drop them in the lake, will they be fine?

    @MESO don’t spend $1000’s on new buttons. Just tell everyone to put one strip of black vinyl tape on the back of the buttons. Done!

    Lol.. this isn’t a Toyota fix likenthe tape over the TSS sensor. I’ll do it right, whatever it costs.
    They are still “water resistant” I held mine under a faucet for a minute and was fine. Now if you jump in a lake... that’s a different story. I have not submerged IP tested it.
