Fox Lift almost done, one last question!!

Alright so me and Burgman finished up everything yesterday and took it to see the flex right after but today when I took a look at the 2.5 coil overs again, the bottom sway bar link was still rubbing the bottom of the shock. We got fox involved yesterday and they said to have the shocks installed with the larger spacer towards the front of the truck. So the problem is the sway bar, maybe its the mount I dont know but it still is rubbing. Right now the reservoir mount is installed with spacer first then mount then sway bar. I think you can put the mount in first as well but I dont think it really matters. The spacer is moving the sway bar towards the front atm, but If we were to switch it the other way I believe the sway bar itself would hit the actual coil. CAN anyone please for the love of god solve this problem for me, I've called all pro/offroadwarehouse, and am waiting to call fox again tom. Thanks Cory- pics would greatly be appreciated.

 

You don't want to just ditch the swaybar?

Did you put the spacers to the front of the truck like fox said?

 

Not yet because then it would rub even worse because it would move the shock backwards, I mean right now I have the sway bar off but I just feel like the sway bar would make it such a smoother ride

 

Its the opposite. Have you driven it around without the swaybar? Its a lot smoother.

 

I've got it off right now, so I'll ride around with it off for a bit to see how it feels.

I just wanna know wth I'm doing wrong, and sway bar off it wouldn't do anything worse to the warranty would it. I guess my differential and anything 4wd is not covered anymore.

 

Just take the sway bar off. I haven't ran with mine on in nearly 4 years. You will be fine.

Sway bar spacer. ToyTec has them.

 

the spacer is already installed you can see it in the pic.

 

sent pics to offroadwarehouse too, so we'll see. Only other thing i know to do is get a dif sway bar link (if i decide to keep the sway bar)

The shock resi bracket should be on first (against the frame) and then the spacer goes on top of the bracket.

 

got ya ill change that up but it still wont move the sway bar any

 

Dude, flip the spacer on the lower shock mount, longer side at the front.

Also, I'm pretty sure all 2.5" c/o's need the swaybar relocate bracket... or just take it off completely.

I have 2"c/o's and they are just a hair away from the sway bar. When I first installed them (no instructions) it looked right to have the long spacer, (actually a bushing) to the rear, then my coil hit the swaybar. I called the company and they said the longer bushing goes to the front, I swapped them around and no more rub.

EDIT: nevermind. I totally misread your problem.

 

I double checked the sway bar to be sure there wasn't more on one side than the other and I'm pretty sure that it was even on both sides but I'll try it again. Just trying to think of ideas

 

What exactly is hitting. Is it the sway bar or the end link?
