I was on my way to go workout at the gym. I was sitting at a redlight just minding my own business when BAM. got hit from behind. My bumper damage seems minimal, its bent down and scratched up but her 1988 honda crx was crushed pretty bad. her car went under my truck so im hoping there isnt some damage i cant see. Police came, i got a police report. She had a suspended license for multiple traffic offenses. she looked really trashy and like she was on drugs or something i duno but the cop didnt arrest her.

Good to hear you are alright man. $hit happens. Bet you are glad you drive a truck otherwise if you had a little civic it would probably be totaled.

Some of the Toyota dealers have their own body shops but that does not mean that they have good techs that do body work. You need to check around and find out which body shop in your area has the best reputation for quality work. Get your 30K stuff done by a reputable mechanic. Stay clear of the dealer unless you are into throwing money away. Good luck and glad to hear you are OK. You might be sore today. It usually takes 24 hours.

Glad your okay. I think getting rear ended sucks it happened to me a few years back also however, like you I had a trailer hitch and damage was minimal (to the bumper only) so I think having a hitch really helps IMHO. Hope everything works out for you

Sorry to hear another Tacoma was assaulted - but at least the damage isn't bad. I was rearended almost a month ago now... and I'm still waiting to get my truck back from the body shop. Almost picked it up yesterday, except the right rear fender flare was falling off... so no.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.

For that price I would have gotten an OR bumper. If it happened again, an $8 rattle can would suffice for repairs.
