Minimalist Key Fob Case

Just tell him to tape it. That seems to be the best fix.

Props to you Meso for handling everything the right way and being on top of everything. I'll see if mine has the rattle tomorrow.

I know. Im considering using tape if mine does it too. I'm just happy to see Meso making sure it is done right rather than a bandaid.

 

For the record, only my unlock is anything noticeable. Lock/panic no issue. Even still, really not a bother.

It did get the job done. I will use this as well until those new buttons are ready, thanks for the suggestion

Currently have it all red. Might paint the black key set and see how it turns out.

 

I always use my key to lock my glove box but liked the design of this fob over competitors (which I already have), so I ordered a few blanks of the key and heated up the plastic with a lighter and it pops right off with a little wiggling. I just need to drill out the hole alittle bit so it moves freely on the key ring but overall it works.

Got my first one together, installed with the black pad, both lock and unlock are loose. Really not a big deal though. Might go ahead and put some tape in there like @PapaRee suggested.

 

What did you with the blanks?

 

I need the physical key as well. I just decided to throw on the valet key because I don’t keep any other keys attached. Was just running the factory fob before

 

I'm a product of the eighties so I had to at least try the different color combinations. I'm not sure if Meso's Barbie fob was cement or white, but here's what I decided to try.

That’s a tough one. I like the red on cav blue, but the cement just looks simple and clean.

 

guess ill join the club with the loose lock button, other then that I love the fob! had to watch the install video to see the trick with getting the case to snap shut lol

I used the blanks instead of breaking the plastic off of my OEM key. These aren’t OEM blanks, just some cheap ($7) ones I found on Google.

They had to be cut, most key shops that are able to cut car keys should be able to cut these. Some might even have them available in stock.
