still debating the best way to lift my truck

Alright guys, I have been going back and forth trying to figure out which would be the best way to go about lifting my taco around 3". I have thought about doing the 5100's, but also am looking at just a standard 3" revtek. Just trying to narrow down my options. Can I still do the Revtek with the rear AAL even with the TSB?

Definitely stick with the 5100's and stay away from the Revtek, as that is a spacer lift and is not nearly as good as 5100's or a coilover lift.

 

If you go offroad any, dont get spacer's. They ride pretty stiff.
5100's only give 2.5" of lift. And if looking for a 3". I would suggest some OME Lift coils and shocks. Or you can even pair the coils up with the 5100's.

And NO, I think the Revtek AAL is for stock leaf packs. Not the TSB one's.

 

Okay, thanks. To obtain max lift between the 5100s and TSB, should I just set the rear and front at their max settings? Also, I do not want to do any trimming so would I be best running 32's or can I fit 33's?

 

I always thought you could set the rear to 2"?

Are the rears really necessary then if I am running the stock billies on my TRD?

I've been looking into this also... What were you looking at? I'm currently eyeballing the "Ultimate Lift" off of Toytec.com... I'm itching to get home and actually start some of this when i get back from overseas.

The rears aren't necessary, but most folks just go ahead and change them out while they doing the fronts. The stock bilsteins and the 5100's are different shocks (with the 5100's being better).

musty40 Wow! $249 for blocks and spacers? Seems very steep. I'd avoid, but if you are going with blocks and spacers, I have an old set of aluminum spacers that I originally put on my Tacoma about 3 years back. Just the front spacers. They have been collecting dust in my shed. I'll sell them for $50 plus shipping. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow and post it.

 

i have an OME coil lift (no top spacer) and 5100's set at .85. i paid about $400 for shocks and coils. i also have camburg UCA's that cost me another $400. truck sits a little over 3" and rides great, alot better than any spacer lift.

 

Well... I decided, for now I am going to just run the 5100s up front at .85 with the rear TSB. Should I be able to clear 32's with no trimming?

I've got the 5100's set at 1.75, the tires are 265/75/16, i also have the tsb.
