    Hey @Built2Ride ,

Do your boys at ACC do driveline balancing? I'm contemplating taking my driveshaft to a pro to do the center support bearing, u-joints and balance. It's either that or buy the tools, but I won't be able to balance.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
There is a place closer to you that does that. I think they are called Driveline Specialists.
I will double check. But yes, ACC does that as well.

Going to prime and paint this thing tomorrow. Then next week new axles, leafs and 6 lug hubs. Also bought new 2x8s for the bottom. That said, does anyone know a good place to get aluminum sheets? Going to box it in with that when I get it painted. Home depot is insane.

Silly of me to think a simple slider install wouldn’t become a family affair

After some lunch, play time and getting the kids to nap, I was able to wrap up the drivers side. No drilling for today, so I’m just mall rated for now.

I called 2 places yesterday and got quotes between 150 and 240. I have Spicer parts to replace OEM. Was gonna see if you had the hookup or if I just need to buy the extra tools (way less than 150 and I'll have them for next time)

Try Metal Supermarkets. I’ve bought some raw square tubing from them before, pretty cut and dry process. Call them up, tell them what you need, they’ll give you a price, then just go pick it up.

I do sheetmetal at work if you want to bang some rivets in it. Some blind rivets might look prettier, though. Solid look better if you're going to paint over usually.

    Kinda what I was thinking.

That would be cool. Do you know anyone who does welding? I need to get a tow ring welded to the end of the receiver. It actually uses a piece of pipe that bolts in with 2 1/2” bolts.

I actually met up with a bunch of cool jeep guys. One guy had a Nissan frontier and they’re all really awesome folks help me get off the trail have fun with only some Tennessee pinstriping. That’s what they called it . Oh and some damage to the skid plates. But definitely well worth it. AD5BB3AA-873F-460C-A793-7F2890CA62A8.jpg
