What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Mine didnt vibrate the entire cab though. Must be an extreme case of post lift vibes. The fact that it started after you removed the weight from the bed makes me wanna rule out possible tire issues. How much is your rear lift?

 

Wish I could tell you. I never measured before and after. I installed the All-Pro (non-Expo) and the Icon 2.0s. Hard to see but from ground to fenderwell it’s 40” and change.

 

On stock 31's its roughly 35" ground to fender. Youre on 33's corect? So youre around 3-4" of lift.

 

Does the wobble go away if you put the weight back into it?

Yep, 285s. Back is slightly taller than the front but everything I read said it will settle over time.

The other thing might be right now it’s on stock bumper, no skids (waiting on skids and bumper just not installed yet). Maybe the whole setup’s just not good for the current weight?

Pretty sure they're in my garage, what length eye to eye to you need. I have lots of shocks in my shock pile.

 

Not sure, gonna confirm in the a.m. Wondering if there’s just not enough weight on it for the setup. I have a 111 lb bumper, 86 lb winch and waiting on skids that should make a difference.

 

An aftermarket rear bumper isnt gonna add 200 pounds though. Maybe if you went full broverlander...

 

Not sure I’m cool enough for full broverlander. Maybe I can just throw a fat chick back there with a Camelbak full of Kool-Aid.

The current ones are 8.5" travel. IIRC 23"/14".

Got the truck smogged this morning.

Then @Pella and I had heard they started opening a bunch of access roads up the hill... So we decided we'd go on a day adventure and see if we could get lost.



Gaia kept us from getting lost.... but we found some good spots and went in to some country niether of us had been in before.

And I only got stuck once

It was a great time.

It was some thick gooey mess. I was in mud for about 100 yards before coming around the bend and in to that junk. Was really kind of deceptive. Looked like it was more of the same mud I was already in, and then the bottom fell out.

Luckily @Pella was there to save my bacon... otherwise I would have gotten my brand new traction boards dirty lol.

 

Put most of my trim pieces back on after paint. Also finally mounted the rear bumper up. Waiting to put wheel well liners and flares on after I switch out my UCA's.
