Wich brand ? Is it specific for tacoma ?

 

Do you have a floor jack? If so, try putting it under the LCA and jack it up to mimic upward travel. It doesn’t take much contact to give you a scary noise. Otherwise you may be right and your noise may be coming from somewhere else.

 

No floor jack handy. Maybe I can use the stock bottle jack?

 

Your Tacoma came with a bottle jack?

Thanks! I got it from eBay. This boot is not Tacoma specific - requires a little bit of tuck and pull to position the boot but it works.

After 6 years, mine is really tired looking. What is the name of the filler stuff you’re using?

 

Finally installed my @mattgecko bed lights. Also resprayed my (new to me) skid plate for install next week

 

Oddly, I’ve never taken mine out, but I was sure it was a jack screw and not a true hydraulic bottle jack.

Ditched the Plastidip on the TRD “skid plate” for some bedliner.





Dipped it black a while ago to see if I’d like it black vs silver. I did. This is a more permanent solution

Found a spot for my new compressor the old $15.00 pos took 10 minutes to fill a tire from 15psi to 35psi. The Smittybilt 2781 with 5.6cfm 1-1/2 minutes...f#ck me needed it sooner. Fits right behind the rear set on the driver side beautifully along with all the accessories.

 

Light bar and dropped license plate down.
