    A thing or two...
    There's a performance shop in PA (Complete Street Performance) that likes using interchillers on their SC builds. They have a YouTube channel. I used to watch them and another channel from one of the cars they've built, but it got to be too much BS and clickbait type crap.

    So I'm reading about VVT-i and understand how it works, but I don't have the best idea of when it should and should NOT be used. Can someone please explain it to me.

    Thanks, I just read it. To be clear, VVTI advances correct? And if so, my table should be zeroed until about 3000 rpm?

    I’ve also read that it’s bad for boost applications, at least for a turbo like mine, so should be zeroed again when getting into boost (maybe 5psi?)

    After reading, it seems the VVT-i has both retard and advance. Apparently it starts in the retard position (to aid in starting) and as the solenoid is altered moves to the 0 and then to advance direction.

    This helps me understand, is for 1GR but at this point I'm assuming it applies to 2TR also

    edit:
    looking at the 1GR vs 2TR solenoids, they're quite different and possible 2TR's doesn't have retard

    I can post a screenshot of my intake valve timing for my car if interested. My exhaust is fixed cam. Can see if your motor runs better with small changes.Cobb tuning developed the whole table. My car doesn’t retard but only advances. It pretty much runs a ton of advance at spool up and zeros out when running at boost.

    When I get on my laptop, I’ll get you that screenshot. Either tomorrow or Monday. It’s a pretty simple table, but might help make tuning a bit faster for you. I’ll look for a clean data log too for you.
