He's a Cop and works the nightshift. Got off late and hit the bed. My oldest daughter wanted to get it done and learn something at the same time.. So I showed her how.

Pretty cool though. in her younger days, I couldn't get her to even care when working on my junk that she was driving... Now (out on her own), She wants to do it her self. She told me today that she had just changed the oil in her Harley a few weeks ago. Right on, Kiddo!

I did my fronts yesterday. Powerstop Z36 rotors and pads.

Justin, did you get a set of LCAs in to gusset and rebuild? If not, no biggie, I'm probably just going to order a new set with new cam bolts from Toyota with my discount

I will say tho I am sad to have to turn in my rental they gave me while the truck was being fixed... 2019 Trd off-road had 6miles when i got it took it back with almost 3k miles lol. Even gave it a proper break in with a trip to Portsmouth island on Memorial Day weekend. Made sure the 4wd crawl control and locking diff worked properly for them

Hey. A question for you fart smellers. Uh, I mean smart fellers.

I had my entire lower dashboard torn out last week to redo some wiring of mine. It's all back together now but my airbag light is one. It's entirely possible that I unplugged something. Any thoughts?

    A thing or two...
Did you forget to plug in your clock/hazard flasher? I know my airbag light was on when I didn't have it installed for a few days when I was doing my radio install. Other than that, I'm not sure. I think the airbag computer is on the floor under the radio and I can't think of any other plugs that handle the airbags. At least not from tearing apart the dash in my truck.

ABS is not "air bag system", it's "anti-lock brake system"
Air bags are actually SRS, which is for "Supplemental Restraint System"....and yes the computer for the SRS is on the driveshaft hump behind the dash.
@Salty_Dog did you unplug any yellow plugs or the SRS control box/computer? Did you unbolt any grounds? If so, check the torque on those 10mm ground bolts...and make sure you used the original bolts for those grounds. They are different than normal 10mm bolts as they have teeth in the threads to ensure contact

@Salty_Dog Also you should know that once the air bag light is on, the reason for malfunction is stored in the SRS computer. It will have to be cleared by a special scan tool in order to make the light go off

You talking about an ODBII scanner? I tried that and it showed no codes.

No, @Salty_Dog a standard OBDII scanner will not pull/show SRS codes. It has to be capable of reading I have an OBDII scanner by C-Reader (CR123) that will show/clear Air Bag SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) Codes & Anti-Lock Brake (ABS) codes. I believe that by 2015 Techstream will show SRS & ABS Codes on a Tacoma. If you can read the codes with Techstream you can clear the DTC's.
