Well I've had my truck almost a year now and have taken it a lot of places off-road but today was the first time I got it stuck. Found some rotten snow and dropped it down on the frame. I was able to get some rocks under the tires and get it out.

If you take your truck off-road getting stuck is inevitable so let's see some pics.IMG_20190531_134032_980.jpg

You have to buy the bed rail for the Gen 2, the Maxtrax mounts, t-nuts, rubber stoppers, and steel strap.8D2F9750-7C79-4106-AE9E-7DA888540E2C.jpg

My first time being stuck was an adventure, sunk it to the frame in mud and maxtrax did absolutely nothing to help haha

I got an old VW bug stuck in snow once, but two of us just lifted it up and unstuck it. I can’t say I miss that car, but it did have personality.

How did you manage to get out? Pulled out by another truck I’m assuming?

Only been stuck once, in the same manner as the OP. There was a crust on the top of the snow pack that my skids were floating on making it difficult to get enough weight on the tires. Rear locker and mts/crawl control were useless on the ice underneath. Chains might have helped, but there was Ford Ranger with chains, that was stuck in the same spot (I got stuck trying to go around the Ranger). Ended up, airing down further, digging out the rear wheels and using traction boards was sufficient to get me out.

I had a old Datsun, manual that was stuck on black ice. Put it in 1st gear, got out and pushed it and hopped back in. I don't miss that car!

Is that a situation where "crawl control" would help, or would it be useless?
