    So, just for fun I changed the s/c oil today.
    Strange, even though it got down to the mid 50's last night when I opened the fill plug it popped off as it was under pressure cold.
    On level ground I was only able to suck out about an ounce even though it was spilling out of the overflow. Must I use the drain plug? Was trying to prevent a mess.

    When I did my snout coupler my plug was under some mild pressure as well.

    Ah, no there's just the one plug. It's not really possible to get all the fluid out but you should be able to get more than 1 ounce.

    Hmmm. Thought I had the perfect tube for the job. Maybe next time I'll just remove the s/c and tip it on edge with the plug out.

    I couldn't get it all out either with the tube and massive syringe I used. That or the dealership didn't put enough in to begin with. And there is only one hole for 'draining' and filling.

    Lots of deep probing with just the right sized tube to find the deepest spot that all the lube is pooling.

    In my defense, I couldn't find any other comparably-sized trucks with a MT. Having always owned only Toyota trucks, that made my decision an easy one.
