Will you also want to swap for stock? Or are you upgrading from the 5100?

What would be the lowest I could set it at? I have concerns about too much lift since my work takes me into a lot of low clearance areas. I've also got to shed about 40lbs because getting in and out of my Taco is a chore as it is. Motivation to exercise!

The coils provide the lift, I'm guessing he has them set on the lowest setting which should but you right at 3'' and contrary to the sheep herd here on TW you can run stock UCAs with 3'', it will be barely in spec but I and many others have done it on trucks (my 15 and now my 19), then save up when you're ready to put on aftermarket UCAs.

The more I mull on it the more I think I'm gonna hold off. Tires will likely be this week as well as flaps. Then tint likely next after I get my shell on. Sliders and Dashcam somewhere in there. Anyways!

Appreciate the info and help man :fistbump:

Sure man, I would get tint first and mull some more, would suck to drop the money on 265's or tires that work with stock suspension only to turn around and go 285's with a lift. Enjoy the process!

Well tint will come after the shell which I probably wont have for another two weeks. I got a friend ready to buy my tires now and I'm not wanting to go 285's because I know what little acceleration my truck can muster will disappear in a cloud of dust.

I've settled on SL Nitto Ridge Grapplers and anything bigger than 31's become a D or E load and weigh 55+ pounds.

I dont wanna put fat tires and crazy suspension on a truck I just financed and then roll it when my inexperience bites me in the ass. Gonna stick to fire roads and simple/easy trails for now and focus more on making sure it still functions as a work truck. Edit: For that reason and purpose, I figured some OR Take Offs would be fine for the time being.

I dont wanna lift a 70lb tool box any higher than I have to as well.

Incorrect. I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70r17, SL 116Q on my 19 right now.

But yes with a 4 banger I'd be apprehensive with anything bigger than 31s.

Allow me to specify: 31's are the largest size standard load for 16's.

I haven't looked into it much but I think the 885 coils on the lowest notch would give about 2" on a 4cyl 3rd gen.

I'm going to try to sell it as the complete kit before I split it up. Ideally someone will buy the whole thing in one easy transaction.
