OK, they just called me to schedule RRT delivery...oh, yeah! Qwershon for this topic...why don't I see more tents open to the rear? Especially if it's high enough to walk under. Seems like a good work area off the tailgate, etc.

Lol thanks, $20 in materials (Lowes chair and toilet seat). Used a leftover piece of wire loom to cover the raw steel edge after cutting the hole (jig saw steel blade cut like butter).

Here some Memorial Day camp pics from last weekend, just picked up a deep cycle/marine battery from a buddy for 40$ trying to come up with some ideas on what I could use it for when out in the woods?

Quality control is non-existent. I’ll update after I use it this weekend!

    Yeah.
I have a couple of those metal chairs around, but I ruined one of them making my first bed rack. I was using it as a stand to weld the ladder-like sides, and I had one of the tubes sticking through the back of the chair and closed the loop on it. I wasn't about to cut into my new work, so I cut the chair apart.

Got my tent swap done last night, new CVT Shasta Summit is almost ready to go. I need to spray the seams and figure out how to get power hooked up for the lighting. I'm thinking that Minn Kota trolling motor box looks good for holding a deep-cycle battery and having the right connections, but I really don't want to be lugging around a big ass battery. Wanting something smaller and lighter -- I typically have a headlamp anyway and wouldn't be using the lights very long, so that seems like overkill.

Anyone do anything with a smaller AGM battery? Would be nice to have something self-contained that I can just plug into the bed outlet to charge while driving and have enough power to run the lights for a short time and charge a phone/tablet overnight. I have a jump box with 4 USB ports, so I need to check the LED lighting voltage/amps -- if the tent adapter steps down from 12V to 5V for both the lights and the USB ports, I might just splice in some USB connectors and use the jump box.

I have a group 24 deep cycle that is charged by my 100w solar panel, and i run my fridge from. Future bed lights will be off of it too, but i need to redo my setup (which i am in process of)

Same with mine on first weekend test. They could clean up a few spots to prevent excess water or moisture from getting in but all in all it kept us dry. Just sucked to dry out so now thinking hard shell or trailer build.

Airing her out for my first camping trip that starts tomorrow. Haven't opened it since September...dry, moldless, clean, and the sleeping bag is still cozy as fuck. Truck sits outside 24/7.

Anyone here with a Tepui have the crunchy noise on your floor?
I was thinking about shooting some minimal expanding foam in there to stop it.
    Thoughts?

You ever have problems with the U channel corroding ? I used unistrut to make my awning rack but found it hard to get those little channels painted. I think its silver galvanized or something but wasnt sure how well it holds up.

There were a couple reviews i saw that had it out in the weather for like 2-3 years and no impact but there are different types so get the right coating. I have used it several times for different applications and for the price it is hard to beat.

Which solar panel did you go with i am thinking of adding one to my prinsu?
