Truck Camping Photo Thread

It is from a company based out of Alberta called "Boulder Outdoor Products". They arent selling them any more I believe though. Was basically just a chinese manufactured awning branded with their logos (typical of most RTT companies). Quality is surprisingly good though and I really like how this one squares off at the side of the vehicle instead of coming to an angle like most other foxwing style awnings.

Is that a fire pit with a chimney?

 

i believe its a fire 'place' and a chimney, my guess is an old forest service building -

 

Unexpected snow for Memorial Day weekend. Good thing for the Drifter

 

Owens Valley is having some interesting weather for the start of June

 

I was hoping to be out there last week, but had to postpone my trip.

Now, we are looking at some time in the fall.

 

This sums it up nicely.

 

how is your mountain bike attached? id be interested in a set up like that

 

@CBI Offroad Fab made a specific bracket for their overland bars that holds your typical bike rack. I'm not sure if they're on the website, I had to call to order them last summer.

 

Summer in the Pacific Northwest is hard to beat. So, I wouldn't blame you for wondering why - with a week of sun and 75°F in store before Memorial Day - we were headed for the inclimate weather of the Oregon-Idaho border and Hells Canyon.

...This reroute - it turned out - had a few highlights in store for us. With plenty of recent rain and snow melt, there were some reasonably sized puddles on the road - a temptation that few truck owners would be able to pass up.

And I'm not one of them.

Thanks for sharing this. I have ridden that area on 2 wheels numerous times and am not sure why I didn't think of it for our first adventure in our Tacoma. I love that area for getting outdoors, also do a ton of backpacking not too far away heading out from Wallowa Lake. Look forward to parts 3 and 4!
