Only been at our house 4 years and might be moving...... Numbers look good so might be going new. Trailer goes in Tuesday to be looked at for the water damage, and I washed and coated the truck today testing out the new meguiars hybrid ceramic

I've been at mine 5 now and while I love it, there are things that are starting to get under my skin a bit. My dislike of Harleys is going up with each passing fair weather day.

I've never lived anywhere longer than 3 years since I was 18 and went to college, I used to move every year when my lease went up. I hate moving now and am really hoping we stay in this house we just built for at least 5 years. We plan on eventually building another (hopefully a few kids and need more space) and turning this one into a rental property, so I know I have at least one more move coming.

Gotta find the right spot! I think until you are back in Tex/Deep South you won't be fully content. Get yourself a nice spot close to some good bike riding (both types) and enjoy the heat.
My dream is ultimate privacy on a big piece of land (no one can see me, or even figure out where my driveway is) but within like 20 minutes or so to real world things. I would like to be in the mountains down south, but I'll accept the hills of MA for familys sake.

Might look into these - it would eliminate almost 5 extra keys on my key ring to switch everything to my ignition key....

Maybe I'm just going blind, but wasn't there a mod day planned for this weekend? I was planning on going and have it on the calendar but now I can't find the details or the thread.

    True.
Problem is, I will get home eventually, and long for the twisty roads, mountains, etc.

I need to find a spot, with mountains, woods, close proximity to the ocean, AND in the south.
SoCal is great, but, I am never gonna spend that kind of money for a place there. Or deal with the laws.

Ideally... Summer here, and winter back home... Itll give me the best of both

Even though I am planning it......I don't look at it as "my meet".....this is for the Tacomaworld community in general and I, in all honesty, want this thing to be one of the biggest meets that TW has ever had. It might give more people ideas to create bigger meets in the future :) but thank you very much for the plug and reminder to everyone. :bananadance:

These have gotten bad reviews on my fishing forums but those guys can ruin anything. I have really bad luck with hitch pins myself. I basically just lock my adjustable hitch on there and plan on angle grinding it off when I sell the truck. Taking it on and off 6 or 8 times a week is not happening for me.

Good point. I don't keep any of my hitch accessories on the truck unless something's attached to them so my locks get a lot of use and are constantly removed. I also oil the shit out of them because I know they're in direct blast from the wheels all the time. I just really like being able to use my ignition key for everything. I have the hitch pin, bike lock and trailer pin all keyed to my truck and it's glorious! I'm trying to figure out if I can use one of their cores for the Diamondback Bed Cover so I can ditch that set of keys also.

So far, so good on my vacation productivity. I painted my FJ steel wheels. I used VHT wheel paint and I really dislike how it sprays. It doesn't spray even and it seems to like to separate even with vigorous and constant shaking / nozzle cleaning. Maybe I'm a bit rusty in my technique, but man. That being said, they're going to look great from 5 feet, and I think that's the goal of winter wheels anyways, right?

The worst of the lot. I had a bad run with some uneven metallic. I tried to wetsand out the run and made it way, way worse.

I used SP188 Ford Argent Silver with the Matte Clear.

Next up is swapping out the letters on my TRD skid and retorquing all of my suspension bits since I've got a knock/clunk I simply cannot place.

Quiet night in here. Everyone watching the Bs?

I ended up pulling the wheels off the front of the truck and rechecked all the torque on my suspension and didn't find anything loose that would explain my clunk. I jumped the LCA cam bolt to 120 ft-lbs to see if that's where the clunk is coming from. I drove it a bit later in the afternoon and I'm not convinced it's gone, but it's very, very subtle. Maybe it's the body mounts people talk about.

I swapped the letters on the TRD skidplate from red to silver to tone down the bro a bit. That skid plate is a bear to reinstall though. I got a slight transfer from my red jack stands that I buffed 90% out, but that seems like my life lately.

I swapped my SSD in my laptop tonight, and hopefully later this week I'll put the laptop SSD into my desktop to speed up the boot.

Tomorrow I hopefully will get the roll bar assembled and at least into primer, the HID igniter swapped in the Vette and then both vehicles washed. Then I'll take a few days into the yard before getting the roll bar painted and wired up. Then I'll just wait until a friend is available to get it into the bed. I'm trying to ride the momentum as far as I can take it.
