255/85/16 will work on stock suspension and wheels and only rub occasionally.

Rub occasionally? Like on full turns only?

No problem. We all need "help" to a certain extent when posting a thread. Just putting help in the title here is kinda like yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Since it sounds like it’s all about looks for you and not functionality look around for some big fat mudders and you’ll be good to go. That will make it look “mean”.

It's not that I don't care about functionality. I am here seeking advice. why does it sound like my thread is a problem?

Look at other guys builds, this forum has lots to offer. We can't help you build your truck with arbitrary rules that you set with no budget.

No one implied your thread is a problem. All you said is that you want new tires and you want your truck to look “mean” . If you gave more information such as what you use your truck for(highway, off-road or what ever), kind of tires you’re looking for, what you want in a set of tires etc. etc. you’ll get thoughtful responses. The only thing we know is you want your truck to look “mean” what ever the hell that means.

Are you looking for advice on brand/model tires or size? I have had different models in the same size rub/not rub.

Maybe start by measuring how much clearance you have now (all the way to full lock both ways) and what tire size you are running. That might help you figure out how much room you have.

Thank you! It's regular stock everything. Size and recommendation is what I'm seeking.

I'm actually on Rota. I just need new tires. Checking out what is a good recommendation.

What's the stock size? Usually you can go up a step in sidewall height OR width and still clear. No guarantees since you are stock and some tires have a more aggressive edge which could rub.

I really like my Cooper A/T3. Great on road and off. Looks good too.

OK Sprig, I want to know what is good for everyday use on pavement, gravel or dirt. Doesn't matter the brand, I want to know a recommended size, based on stock height and width.

Yes I want thicker treads. I don't want to have to put in spacers or whatever

Not knowing anything about Rota where you live I looked it up and found the following -

    Rota
(Chamorro: Luta), also known as the "Friendly Island", is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. The name Rota is believed to have come from the Spaniards possibly naming the island after the municipality of Rota, Spain. It lies approximately 40 nautical miles (74 km) north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Sinapalo village is the largest and most populated, followed by Songsong village (Songsong).

    Luta

    GeographyEdit

Rota is 12.3 miles (19.8 km) long and 4.2 mi (6.8 km) wide.[1] Its coastline is about 38 mi (61 km) long. The highest point on Rota is Mt. Sabana which is 495.56 meters (1,625.9 ft). Rota is 47 nmi (87 km) north of Guam, 63 nmi (117 km) south of Tinian and 73 nmi (135 km) south of Saipan. Rota has diverse flora and fauna including the endemic and endangered Rota white-eye, Mariana fruit bat, and Mariana crow.[2]

Because of the small size and the lack of roads I assume your driving must be pretty minimal. Probably 1000 miles a year or less, maybe way less. I really have no idea what tires to suggest for your terrain in Rota. Sounds like a set of All Terrain tires would serve your purposes. You may want to search the internet for various AT’s and read reviews on the tires to select something that will fit your needs. No one here knows anything about Rota and they for the most part are just going to suggest tires that they have and those tires may not work well for your needs. As far as size go with the same tires that are on the truck currently.
